Saw this pop up on my Facebook feed this morning. I already got the game but I attempted to see the pricing and you have to add the code at the checkout stage for the discount to apply using P77VE3-3PGSD0-NWPX3G.

If you haven't got the game, for the original price it is worth it. For this price, it is definitely worth it.

The voucher code entered appears to be invalid, please copy and paste the code exactly otherwise contact Customer Services for assistance.

I think it's tied to your email and single use. There's nothing on the GMG subreddit about it.

    • -1

worked for me. Are you sue you're copy and pasting with a space or full stop at the end?

      • There's no full stop in the coupon so how could one end up in the copy paste?

        • i copied it from the description with the fullstop when i tried it :)

So many mixed reviews, I hear/read its just like your holding down the run key the whole game. Yet I have friends who swear by it. Thoughts from those that are playing it?

    • Apparently, Fortnite is coming out on Wednesday on the Xbox one with a standalone battleroyale mode which is reportedly similar to the Pubg formula and will be free to play so maybe check that out see if you like it.

      • i own pubg, im waiting for fortnite tho it looks so fun

      • +2

It's nothing like Fortnite. Well OK some of the concepts are the same but it lacks the realistic graphics, terrain, vehicles, weapons and ballistics that make pubg so good.

        • +1

Graphics - debatable, just a different style no better or worse
Terrain - not sure how this is different from graphics
Vehicles - valid point, map isn't as big as PUBG so not too much of an issue
Weapons - far more variety in Fortnite, but again it's just a different system no better or worse
Ballistics - haven't figured out the snipers in Fornite so can't comment

Fortnite is a far more polished and has far fewer bugs, developers are definitely competent. Movement is smooth. Squads is releasing tomorrow as it goes free to play. I honestly think this could kill PUBG if it was on Steam, but we'll see. I would definitely not say Fortnite is lacking the things that make PUBG good.

        • +1

@TenaciousTom: Why are you you trying to argue that everything is the same? Fortnite looks like a cartoon including cartoon terrain that has Serious Sam ballistics.

        • @Diji1: Why are you trying to imply that's a bad thing? Not everyone likes to lug around with Arma mechanics.

        • @TenaciousTom: The Fortnite BR developers are competent because they developed Unreal engine, which happens to be the engine PUBG was developed on ;)

        • @TenaciousTom:

Fornite is no real competition to PUBG. Need a AAA game with some real polish to threaten PUBG at this point, Fornite is not that.

I just bought this on the weekend and running and being shot by people you can't see is what usually happens. It's fun because I'm playing with some mates but it's slow going and advantageous to be in a position to camp and observe people moving so you can shoot them. Also in a squad when you die it could be 15mins before your squad dies and you're ready to go again. So run, die and wait.

    • +2

It's a lot more than running around. Trust me haha.

    • +5

I've got about 320 hours into this game and most of the time it's a fun experience, but I suppose 'fun' is subjective.

Sometimes you'll play Solo and you'll be waiting in a house with only a shotgun, patiently waiting as you hear footsteps outside the room - sights aimed at the door and BAM! … then the guy calls you the c-word as you steal his gear :D

… then sometimes you'll be behind a rock and get headshot from 400m away by a Kar98k.

It's a lot of fun with friends when you're try-harding. I have a better time playing this game rather than say, League of Legends, as it's not so much about winning - it's all the little mini-games you play (survival, shooting, looting, running from the blue). I've definitely gotten my $40 worth out of it :-)

You may want to turn voice chat off though if you're easily offended, a lot of people either swearing and making racial slurs or following a line of people into the ocean while someone's blaring "Under the Sea". Can vary a lot.

      • I am only 60 ish hours in but I love playing it with mates. Still haven't had a win but that doesn't worry me cause we just have so much fun. I try not to get frustrated when dying in a BS way and it keeps me enjoying it.

        • +1

Yeah I've got thousands of hours logged into other games where it's very unsatisfying if you don't win, but this is the opposite! The game is also in Alpha (or Beta, whatever) so there's some very frustrating but also hilarious bugs that occur.

Definitely recommend this game to anyone who has mates that play, and seeing how popular this game is currently I think you'd find it hard to not find a squad!

    • +1

It depends on your playstyle. You can choose to land in high loot areas where most people land and get into the action right away or you can play more stealthy, which can include running a lot as vehicles are really loud and give away your position.

    • +3

It an be viewed as a game about modern fashion, the rewards thereof, and gender reassignment at crazy Thai prices. All this while visiting a fantasy eastern European island and cruising the sites in an old orange Renault.

      • +2

You forgot the bit about killing everyone else :p

        • each to their own

    • So many mixed reviews, I hear/read its just like your holding down the run key the whole game. Yet I have friends who swear by it. Thoughts from those that are playing it?

It's a game where you can choose your own play style and use skill to win - about 20% of the time (and that's the very best in the world). I myself have yet to win it although I have a fair number of second places.

Each game is ruled by randomness in terms of where you have to move to in order to maintain the way you want to play and what weapons and items you have.

So it's a game where you constantly have to adapt and think to win … and yet there's a fair chance that it will all come to nothing if winning is your aim because the random number generator will go against you.

    • +1

I have been a gamer almost my whole life. But I think this is the only game that gives me an adrenaline rush at the late game. Sure the game still needs to be polished more, but the concept of the game and the play style works really well.

    • It's kind of like that. Initially I hated it but the more you play it, it gets more exciting. (Think of it as Hunger Games).
      :)

    • +2

I played it for an hour and a half, then got a refund. Second game ever, and I came second from 92 players. Yep was basically, run into house, run out of house from ever decreasing out of bounds area, rinse and repeat. Player control and aiming is more like ARMA, but the gameplay isn't tactical at all.

    • There is an auto run button, it's bound to "+/=" by default.

The game is fantastic, early access bugs aside.

Get in and play whilst the community is still thriving, I can only hope it stays this way.

    • Mixed reviews don't mean much.

Yeah, it a bit of a buggy mess. But still the most addictive, novel and enjoyable multiplayer game thats come out in years
