Penrite isn't a bad oil either except oil is kinda like beer/footy team, everyone has their own favourite.

That's not a fair comparison considering at the end of the season you have a clear winning footie team, and with beer it's whatever I can afford after I count what's in my hat.
Im pretty sure penrite enviro is full synthetic and this edge is actually semi or low grade synthetic. API SL or something. Not API SN
Edit: not that there's anything wrong with it. I just get what's on sale
@nerdyfred07: the SN or SL is for the latest engine technology requires oil range. Older cars might be ok with SM or later and newer cars might want SN (SO isn't here yet). It is on the owners manual not that SN is fully synthetic SL isn't.

Oil weight might play a bigger part than the synthetic vs dinosaur oil.

Thanks OP, only had one bottle of Castrol Edge 5W-30 left from last year, so managed to get a couple more from my local Repco late this arvo.
Went to Repco around 1PM. The store said they sold out about at 10:30AM. How is this not bait advertising? 1 Day sale that only lasted 1.5Hours. 1 PM all stores in VIC were sold out except Eltham.
