People still buy these things?

Wouldnt it be better to buy a netbook for around the same cost and fit it with a cheapie digital tuner. they're only about $50 from the online bargain stores.

  It's very hard to find a netbook for $199 (only on very rare specials). $300 for a netbook (generally the cheapest price). Add $50 for a TV tuner. Then add $50 for an external DVD drive. You have $400 (double the price of this TV) for a device with a USB stick and external DVD drive almost the size of the netbook itself hanging off the end. Not really an elegant solution if someone just wants to watch TV/movies.
