This is an awesome lamp. As bright as halogen but 7 times less energy consumed. Works perfectly with conventional halogen transformer. I bought 12 for replacing whole flat, paid $12.74 each on eBay.

    • Dumb question do they just go into the same transformer as the halogen bulbs? My downlights went in 10 years ago and looking to reduce power costs

      • im in the same boat as you before. Although i did not install the same model here, I installed the MASTER version 5.5w from Woolworths and it works fine. I assume since this is the Master model as well, should be fine.

Well, I tried 3 different models with my halogen transformers and this one only worked properly. Others were flickering a lot or dead after a few weeks. This one is specifically designed to work with halogen transformers and it saved my money not only for the new transformers but also the expensive electrician charge. Hassle free conversion to LED down lights with this. Totally recommended.

  • This is the latest model of Philips Mr16 7W 60D Warm White Dimmable with few improvements and you may see different price for the old model which the image is slightly different but not hard to tell.

I bought some of these around a year ago that look the same, are you saying these are similar looking but a newer revision?

If so what are the differences?

      • The new one has a slightly lower profile and even higher light output than the previous version

      hi rep

how long is the sale for? im after about 11-17 (yes i just walked around the house and couldnt believe how many i had)
but need a day or so to find time and check whether these would fit mine

in case mine are MR11, are there LEDs that are compatible with that size?

and any deals on E27 led dimmable lights?

      also whats the return policy?

      • Hi,

Sales end 30th Sep. 2017. You can check more details on our website www.lightonline.com.au.

I have forward your question to our tech. in terms of MR16 and MR11.

        • thanks for the reply

i measured my bulb this morning and confirmed its MR16 since its 5cm wide

just wondering if there are any good deal on regular E27 edison screw LED bulbs as well?

          thanks

what would you recommend instead? being dimmable and working with existing transformers…
not having a go, genuinely interested in learning
      thanks

      • Yep interested in learning as well! Want to change over all my downlights in my house and don't want to have to change all the transformers if possible and don't want to lose too much light

  • Does all transformer know to put out less wattage when driving these light? Also whats the warranty on this?

  • Will this work with Clipsal C-Bus System?

Any recommendation for dimmable LED lights that work with Clipsal C-Bus?

    • I think you can ask question on our website contact us page…https://www.lightonline.com.au/contacts/

  • any deals for these in the cool white colour? you don't seem to stock these on your website

      • 2 months ago I bought Philips 5W GU5.3 12V 410 lumen to replace my halogen and disappointed
that it was flickering or glowing with low light or some didn't glow at all.

Is this 'Master LED' different to that? Like the idea that this will fit with the existing halogen driver and dimmer, If this didn't work Can I return back the LEDs?
