Just increased my monthly data allowance with my ISP so I can spam F5.

      • Setup a javascript plugin to hit refresh for you at a certain interval until something has changed on the page :D

Used a batch file I wrote last time when it was run at 4PM, then opened a heap of tabs.

Took about 20 minutes before I could get a code. 🍕

        • +5

@Scab: Created a batch file…you are a true OzBargainer sir!

  • +1

I wonder if they've learnt from the last farce?

Here we go again, just cancelled everything I had planned this afternoon.

Free Cheeseburgers & Free Pizza - Dinner sorted ;)

      • +2

Is the free cheeseburger on the Maccas app, sadly my local shitty store doesn't support the app so no cheeseburger for me?

        • +5

          @Spackbace:

Promise you'll think of me when you're eating the cheeseburger?

        • You can actually scan the barcode from your App and make your order at the self service counter which is what I did today. The catch was to purchase something with it.

        • @Ladychanel888:

Thanks Ladychanel, if you ever emigrate from Perth I'll take you out for a cheeseburger.

      • Yeah if both of those apps decides to work

      • You say that like the maccas app hasn't been crashing all day ;) Feels like it anyway

      • Cheese for dessert?

Last time was a massive waste of time for me. Not again!

    • +5

Thanks for your generosity, makes it easier for us.

      • Came here for the comments, was not disappointed thank you Scab sir

      • Nah he's not generous at all.. he didn't say he wouldn't be participating this time. He's just ranting about last time.

    • Could you please elaborate a little more?

  • +1

I see they didn't specify a time like the last promo which was at 4PM, probably to stop it from being inundated.

    • +1

      then they underestimated us Ozbargainers

    • Checked at 4pm and there it was :) thanks!

    • I was lucky, I forgot all about it just happened to jump on facebook and first thing in my feed was their post saying free pizzas are up. Missus is coeliac so Domino's is always a good take-away option for her (and I love pizza).

  • +1

Will the site keep on crashing like last time?

  • they didnt say what time? or is that their plan?

    • guess if they don't publish the time more people have chances to miss out and it will have less chances of crashing like last time

  • Damn they must be churning out a lot of pizzas especially after last week's $1 pizza promo.

  • +4

Good offer, but I'll pass this time and leave it to you guys.

    • Thank you.

  • is this a situation where bad publicity is still bad publicity?

  • +3

Pro Tip, sign up for notifications for when there facebook page posts under; following, edit notification settings, All posts (tick)

    • is that worth it be notified every time someone (besides dominos) posts?

      • +2

Well once I get my notification and free pizza I'm turning it off

Edit, i only turned it in for the dominoes Facebook page, so its only when dominoes post not everyone?

        • No doubt!

        • @voteoften:

i think its gonna be a new post… based on how im reading it…

    • Thanks for the tip.
where do you see "edit notification settings"?

I see turn on notifications on the post itself, but this pops up everytime someone replies to it (currently 821 replies!).

      • If you go to there Facebook page, on the Facebook app under the shop now button there's a following button which will allow you to set notifications just for each new Facebook post. (Assuming they make another post and not just update the original)

    • I get delays when I have done this in the past.

    • thanks for the idea.

  • Can we order and pay today but pick up for tomorrow? Or do they have to be redeemed on the day?

    • You get a code that is valid for a week.

  • they just want people thinking about and talking about dominos, they don't care if it's bad publicity, people are always going to eat dominos

  • +3

    Oh not this again haha

    • +1

Less Pizzas this time too. haha! (Overall more, but 5k up for grabs each time I meant)

  • Yipee. Another round of these. They underestimate the power of us OzBargainers!

  • So how does it work? Do I get a code that I can hold for a week or do I have to order the pizza immediately.

  • -8

Sorry I have to neg this deal as their last promotion was useless. System crashing. People not getting their codes.

OzB's seem to have a very short memory. (Goes off to eat some FREE Tasty cheese)

    • +2

You think Dominos wouldn't learn from it? Already looks like they've done better with a random post time. I'm sure they have more measures in place to stop crashing.

      • Perhaps you have more patience and time than I do.

It was just a total waste of time logging on to FB on time and getting errors. I wouldn't be surprised if the crashes were intentional so they don't have to give away as many pizzas.

All promotions should work as well as the Free Mainland Tasty Cheese offer. Absolutely flawless. I look forward to all the OzB's complaining from those gullible enough to give Domino's a second/third/fourth chance to get it right.

    • +3

Why neg this deal for the fail of their last one? It hasn’t even started yet. For all we know they might do it a completely differently this time round, who knows.

I guess the name says it all 😂

      • -2

We could go on forever. The PR of the last campaign was awful. People attempt to log in on time, system keeps crashing, then a popup that the offer is over.

As for getting it right it is possible. However they could not get it right the last time and we are talking about a company that should have been prepared for the rush. It is not a small business.

As for the people negging my comments what I am making are valid points. Once bitten twice shy.

        • Pizza Hut was that you?

  • +1

going to bet it going to be one of those min spend deals where u have to spend x amounts to get a free pizza.
you better off just using a coupon code

    • If the rep that is responding to comments and queries on the facebook page is to be believed, then it'll just be like the last one (Delivery requires a minimum, pickup being free)

    • It's not, you don't have to spend a minimum for pick up, only for delivery which is $22.

  • +1

    When is deal coming?

    • Some time in the future according to Domino.

  • +2

when are they throwing the scraps to us pigeons?

    • This afternoon

  • I just checked and all nearby Dominos are sold out along with all the cheese from Mainland from Woolworths. Looks like its the same culprits again! Those bastards!!

    • Where is the link?

    • +3

Domino's grabbed all the Mainland cheese from Wollies ready for the promo!

  • +1

Anyone want to guess the time, I reckon 4.30PM?

    • -5

      its live.

… psyche~ sorry had to do it.

      :)

      • I neg you

      • +1

        I was prepared for it… :(

    • 5pm

    • +1

Betting agencies have 4:32pm as the most likely time

    • 4pm.

      • You were close, it was 4.05.

        • It was definitely posted at 4pm :P Have a look at the time it was posted. Facebook allows you to schedule posts so I imagine that's how.

    • +1

      got this weird 3:47pm feeling

      • +1

        winner gets a free pizza

  • +1

didnt they make their pizzas smaller in size?
now giving them away for free?
i would rather have the normal size pizza and not see these free giveaways lol…

    • +1

"We have recently changed back to the old Classic Crust recipe. This was as a result of customer feedback. The Classic Crust is also now cooked in our deep pan dish which allows the crust to rise and become more fluffy. The same amount of toppings are put on the crust, regardless of it being Classic, Thin and Crispy, Deep Pan or any other crust variety. There has been no other changes to our crusts. Feel free to email me if you would like further information - [email protected]"

      • oh wow.
looks like Domino's is back on the menu boys!!

    • +1

They were trialling smaller pizzas for lower prices in a couple select stores to get feedback. Nothing more.

      • really?
i thought i read that they were reducing the large size and still charging the same price.
should have looked into it better hey!

        • They reduced the size about 5 years ago, then Pizza Hut did the same.

        • @Scab:
          OK, im so confused now.
i must be getting all these stuff mixed up…

        • There seemed to be this media bandwagon of jumping onto one small report of smaller pizzas. I can't find the link myself while at work but Don(CEO) posted a video explaining it.

  • +1

What could possibly go wrong ? ;)

  • +4

Afternoon is from 12:01 PM to around 5:00 PM.
Evening is from 5:01 PM to 8 PM, or around sunset.

    Before 5pm.

    • +1

      Good boy

      • english second language! :)

        I google with the best!

  • How fast are they likely to reach the 5000 limit? How quick did they go the previous time?

    • From what I can remember, it was over in minutes.

    • +4

The question isn't about how fast they will reach the 5000, the question is how fast their fb page will crash

      • Facebook won't crash, they have massive bandwidth.

What crashed last time was the form overlay software.
