  • Great price but in guessing most people that have a Wii U would already have this game

    • +2

      Played it on Gamecube, can't see myself playing it again

      • +2

        It's visually the most aesthetically pleasing game in HD.

        Really worth the second play through.

        So you only play games once?

        Chess? checkers? monopoly?

        • +1

          Football? Tennis? Golf?

          Tag? Kiss chase? Hide and seek?

          Drinking games? Sex games? Mind games?

        • +4

          With single-player campaign video games yes, I generally only have time for one playthrough. I might try for an alternate ending if it's worthwhile but there are too many games these days to be replaying them.

        • @Putnum: I'm in this boat.

        • @FabMan: Right now I've finally gotten around to playing Horizon Zero Dawn which I'm glad it's taken me this long, because I bought a PS4 Pro and a 75" in the meantime haha!

        • +1

          I wuve you

        • +1

          @Putnum: How does it look, glorious?

        • +1

          @FabMan: When it's loading (takes a while) and I'm distracted doing stuff on my phone, then it loads and it catches my eye and I completely forget what I was doing on my phone.

          Not bad, honeybun…

        • +1

          @jv: Cheers, sweet cheeks.

        • So you only play games once?

          Chess? checkers? monopoly?

          You are comparing a 30+ hour game with a game of chess that might take 10 minutes.

          I don't play games twice either, but I made an exception for this one.

        • @lostn:

          a game of chess that might take 10 minutes.

          or over 20 hours…

        • @jv: World records are not typical.

          @lostn:

          World records are not typical.

          Neither is a 10 minute game of chess.

        • +1

          @FabMan:

          Kiss chase?

          What is this kiss chase, it intrigues me.

        • +1

          @Wystri Warrick:

          Group of kids decide to play it, a form of tag, you chase after someone, grab them, force a kiss on them and they were it.

          Usually a pretense for a boy or girl to chase someone they are interested in, if they run slow, you got to peck on the cheek your crush. In my case, the girls would go red in the face with exertion screaming "Leave me alone"… It thankfully prepared me for adulthood.

        • @FabMan: right FabMan I'm it!

          @Wystri Warrick: …Runs slowly…

          @FabMan: 😍😗😙😚💟💋💟

      • I thought it was a blurry mess on Gamecube. I enjoyed it on Wii U though.

  • Amazing price and game - A must buy for anyone with a Wii U

    • The only Zelda game I own/have played is BOTW. How does this compare?

      • +1

        Very different - still generally an open world experience - difficulty isnt as high, temples are longer and puzzles are more satisfying imo. Has great sidequests and is a very different experience to other zeldas in the way that you generally get from place to place via boat. I also recommend you check out Ocarina of time and Majoras mask - while I liked BOTW I think both of those titles are better.

        • Are you able to roam around wherever you want? Or are you blocked (zzz… Snorlax is sleeping in the pathway, you need to get the Pokeflute to wake him up, until then you can't pass)?

        • @idonotknowwhy: Mostly open, some flute playing required.

        • @idonotknowwhy: Pretty much what Fabman says, sometimes you might require certain items to get to a certain place. though on the most part it's open.

        • -2

          @idonotknowwhy: every zelda games is pretty much a fetchquest.

        • -1

          @godofpizza: All games can be broken down into simple concepts, it is how the execute it that makes the difference.

        • @idonotknowwhy: You can go wherever you want, but places of interest are blocked like you describe until you get the right item.

          I wouldn't call this an open world. Unless open world only means you can go anywhere. But if you can't do anything, it's not open. If you can't go inside a place as you please, it doesn't meet the game design principles of open world.

  • EB has a good clearance that's started today and some of the items (but definitely not all) are also on ebay with further 20% off.

    I'm disappointed that Prey is $35 and Prey CE is $35 but Prey CE isn't on ebay.

    • -1

      are also on ebay with further 20% off.

      and some are almost 100% more on ebay. The 20% off is off the full price, not the clearance price.

      • Example?

        I bought something reduced from $69.95 to $48 (less 20%) on eBay perfectly fine.

    • +1

      The eBay store is linked to the warehouse stock, while the website can have deliveries from both the website or individual stores. Due to the dwindling stock of prey CE, there's no stock left at the warehouse and so it isn't on the eBay store.

  • +2

    Available for purchase in store only. Couldn't find any copies in Vic stores.

  • Good timing with the landslide of WiiU consoles being sold atm

  • +2

    This is a masterpiece folks, grab this if you haven't already - I've said this many times but no game has nailed the artistic vision that it was designed for more than Windwaker.

    • +2

      I would, but there's hardly any stock in the whole of Australia.

      :(

      • +4

        Just catch a flight to Broome.

  • -1

    How do I make this play on my switch :P

    • you don't, you wait till they release it on the VC when that gets released

      • +3

        Yes! cant wait to drop at least $30 on a emulated Gamecube remake!

  • +5

  • I'm kicking myself for not grabbing this, this morning 😭

  • dont stress yourself there was very little stock to begin with

  • Good game. Tied with OoT as my second favorite Zelda. First is LttP of course.

  • It's really weird the pre-owned copy was like $46 and they wouldn't match the price..

    • Yeps… still picked it up to go with my refurbished Wii U. Can't skip classics when it comes to games.

    • The new version was discounted to $12 as there was very little stock left, and so it could be cleared out. There is still plenty of stock and demand for the preowned version which is why it stayed at $46
