Yes. I have used VPN's to activate the product and it works fine after that without a VPN. Its like your traveling forever. The Antivirus wouldnt want to stop working when you are travelling now would it?
Actually I am currently using this method and I found it won't update the database after a month or so until I connect to VPN again.
It will updates but won't find any updates. Shrug.

I haven't been raped online and I've been using windows defender for years now.
I am looking at buying this for my folks overseas, does anyone know if I activate it using Australia VPN once, would it keep working afterwards?
