Love this new system, you buy a game just to realize that there is lots more to it. Then you have to pay as much again to feel like you have it complete… until the next dlc.
Where are the good old times where a game was on a disc and you knew how much it costs and that it actually will work or you can return it

    • For me, the add-ons were great, I enjoyed getting back into the game and trying out some new cars.

Can't really complain with the number of cars they released at launch imo.

Dumb comment for Forza 6. The game will take you hundreds of hours to complete, the DLC is just a bonus. They could always just not make DLC.

Maybe direct your comments at games that have 6 hour campaigns and day 1 DLC, not massive racing titles.

Problem is, some "DLC" cars are cars that were in the previous games….There is obviously no problem in DLC of cars that came out after the game came out, but not for cars that were in previous titles…

      • That wasn't directed to Forza 6 or the poster, that was my general opinion about the gaming industry which is trying to suck out every possible cent.

    • I suppose its opportunities to add new cars into a game to keep it current and playable amongst newer competitors. I'm a GT fan myself and found that it was good to download more updated cars as new models come out in the real world etc. It does cost money and effort to build these models BTW. But I do understand your sentiment about having to keep paying more etc.

      • You as an adult decide for yourself. I buy my kids a game and say pay $70 for it. Then the company keeps milking me with further purchases all the time because the kid has to have what his friends have to not be left out. Especially after wasting hours and days with the game…

        • well.. whether we like it or not.. it is the pricing model of the new services oriented world now. They figured out they cannot rely on royalties from a single product solely and need to charge for updates through IAP. Unfortunately that is the new world order coming from the Mobile world.

I don't mind the practice, but personally think the price is steep. Looking at it this is normally $180 on top of the price of the game which MS sells for $100+.

I understand it costs money but I can't imagine the effort goes into a single release. Surely any new modelling they do now could be used across future Forza titles and they aren't working from scratch in every car for each bi-annual release.

I think there are more than enough cars in the original game not to be bothered by the extra DLCs. I treat these essentially as cosmetic micro-transactions. It's totally optional. But I agree that the price is a bit steep, even at $45 when Forza 7 is coming out in 3 weeks time. May as well save the $45 and spend it on Forza 7 where you actually get a whole new game.

      • And the new game will have less cars then the previous version, just so there is more sales in dlc's

    • I don't want those days back. Downloading games is great.

Without DLC, that content would become another game or not exist in the first place.
