Wait, we have a similar one, although it's probably an older one (Tefal express) and don't have any of those issues.
Takes maybe 3 minutes to heat up (at a guess), but expected for the size of the boiler chamber.
The ONLY time it leaks is when you have the temperature too low. The Iron temperature does affect the steam generation, same with all irons.
You need to keep it in the 'steam zone' basically cotton/linen, which means you can't use this (plus steam) for more delicate fabrics.
Are you sure it leaks all the time? That sounds faulty to me. I use this one of these to iron single items everyday.
hey hey :)
its not that it "leaks" its probably just that the water in the pipes is not hot enough to instantly steam. this model doesnt have a pre heater gauge, theres only 1 setting, on and off. (as far as i can tell)
it needs to run the water through the pipes thereby "leaking" everywhere, and thats especially prevalent when the device hasnt heated up is all :)
it could have an issue, but when its working, it REALLY working, like a truck load a steam, great iron, finishes up my pile really quick.
Cheers though!
Damn, sounds odd. Really shouldn't leak (seems like either it's faulty or a major design fault).
The temperature setting on the actual iron (same as a normal iron would have) is what I find, when it's too cool, the steam works, but the actual iron is too cool, so the steam condenses coming out of the iron.
Could be an design flaw in this model though (guessing ours is a big different). I'd hate leaking water every time it was on.
Interesting though and thanks for the heads up about this model. :)
Deleted, was incorrect
That's probably an error, it comes with Manufacturers warranty. A quick Google search would help you more on this
I think they are just stating that they will refund if it dies within 30 days, if it's new then yes it will be back by the manufacturer
As an owner of one of these…. Its a great iron.
few things to remember -
i.) it must heat up for like 5 minutes.
ii.) you MUST (once it is heated) run water through the pipes and out the iron, as it will leak water everywhere - use near a sink! - eventually the water coming through the pipes will be hot enough to instantly steam but the first lot of water will not be. save yourself hassle, heartache and a giant wet spot.
As you can tell from above, its not a; grab out of the cupboard and go solution, its more of a professionals use, expecting to utilize over 50 garmets in a single hit. but when you follow above instructions… Damm it works well!
hope this helps.
its really fantastic
