  • 7 feedback?

    • :) New account, but not new to selling on eBay. Have been selling since 2007 with my other eBay ID roiit866 (check my feedback from the Mac Pro 2010 listing above).

      • Why the change?

        • +9

Ozbargain - where yoi get vetted harder than the president of america

        • +1

Had the free listing offer on the new ID (which now expired). But wanted to list it under the same new ID as it is an update to my listing from the earlier deal post.

        • Hilarious :D

        • +1

          @johl:

Shows how ridiculous the ebay/paypal fees are. Sellers are even creating new accounts to just get free listings.

        • +1

@videoman: not just ebay .. all companies offer discounts only for new signups or when you ask to terminate your account. Subpar strategy imo.

    • By the looks a new private seller.

  • wanted a brand new but out of stock?

    • Yeah the last one of the brand new unopened just got sold. You were about 2 minutes too late.

    • Yeah, they sold out pretty quickly. The option 2 sold out pretty quickly last time when it was at $135.

  • think your mac prices are way too high for such old equipment

    • Seem to be in line with other available/sold listings. Not sure why anyone would buy that high though :o.

    • Best offer available. Feel free to put in your offer, although I tried to be very competitive with the available/sold listings as indicated by donnot above.

  • insufficent stock = a no deal from me

    • I believe this deal is for "Option 2: New - Opened - Unused - Generic Box" which is in stock.

  • How would warranty work with these SSDs?

    • I should think an RMA to Samsung Australia.

  • +1

This seems shady as… no offense.

    • It is a private seller well as far as i can tell.

    • :) just to comfort the decision making, all the SSDs from previous deal have already been posted with AusPost tracking.

      • I should think so as that previous deal was posted on Ozbargain a week ago.

    • And a couple of ozbargainers who bought from this deal have the SSDs being delivered this evening.

  • +1

Where are the "New - Opened - Unused - Generic Box" versions sourced?

Basically… why don't they have their boxes?

    Are these Australian stock?

    • Comment from supplier: Sourced from an IT company which didn't fit the purpose. Unsure about the boxes. Genuine aussie stock.

  • Any more option 1 sealed in boxes?

  • OP, please can you confirm if this is SATA? Ssd noob, sorry. Thanks

    • +1

It says sata multiple times on the ebay page. So yes it is.

      • +1

        Thank you

  • Any chance of getting 500gb versions?

    • No. Just the 256GB ones.

  • Do these come with the SATA cable to use in a desktop?
Any recommendations / guidance on how to fit if no cable comes with it?
    Thanks in advance

    • No. You've got to buy your own SATA data cable. You should be able to buy one at any local computer store.

  • Need some more of those cheap Dell systems for my partner's family

  • Still a bit skeptical with no box, wouldn't be sure how much usage has been on it

Probably would cough out the $5 bucks and get this

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/222629869805

    • +1

There should be no usage at all on them. They are new unused.

      • running a tool like HD Sentinel or CrystalMarkDisk would tell you that info.

Should show 0 on power on hours / power on count.

    • That looks good, happy to pay extra $5, however there is no mention of warranty in the listing - is this a concern?
Does the seller normally service the warranty for these? Or just show the purchase date / invoice to Samsung and they deal with it regardless of what the seller says?

      • it does list 10 years warranty in the listing, just wonder if Samsung would honour it

      • I've done RMA on a Samsung drive before, no receipt or anything provided from me, I just gave them the serial number and that was it.

        • I've had them flat-out refuse to consider RMA without the original receipt (250GB Evo), and also had them repair a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 (replacing screen & charging circuitry) without receipt. It seems to all depend on who you get handling your case.

        • @xuqi:

I guess it depends on how much a tightarse he is.
