Conde Nast magazines (Wired, Vogue, etc.) family & friends offer

40

EDIT: link doesn't seem to work. Try the one from buckscoop instead:
http://www.buckscoop.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=26733

Conde Nast have an international friends and family offer for subscribing to their magazines. With the Australian dollar, the prices - which includes delivery - are significantly cheaper than available here. Here's the list, along with a few choice price comparison with iSubscribe (I won't bother converting from USD, 'coz it's so close):

Allure US$45.00
Architectural Digest US$70.00
Bon Appétit US$38.00
Brides US$50.00
Condé Nast Traveler US$40.00
Details US$43.00
Glamour US$45.00
Golf Digest US$60.00
Golf World US$127.00
GQ US$58.00 AU$238.00
Lucky US$45.00
The New Yorker US$120.00
Self US$35.00
Teen Vogue US$35.00 AU$171.00
Vanity Fair US$68.00 AU$260.00
Vogue US$70.00 AU $343.00
W US$97.00
Wired US$70.00 AU$251.00

btw… if you're like me and paranoid about the weird domain name, a whois lookup shows that they're registered to CDS Inc. in Des Moines, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CDS_Global. That looks legit enough to me…

  • How do you do tables? I tried using inline HTML but it didn't work in the preview?

    • <table>
      <tr>
      <td>Not</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
      <td>sure</td>
      </tr>
      </table>

  • How do you enter an Australian mailing address? There is no way to enter a country; you can only select a US state. Can't find anything that says they'll ship outside of US…

    • Hang on, checking it out. The URL works for me but has a token in it. Trying to see whether that's the problem…

      Hmm, no. It doesn't work without the token. Anybody else having this problem?

      • Yep, the prices on your link are way cheaper than what you quoted which suggests it may be linking to the US offers.

      • I navigated back to https://www.magazinestoresubscriptions.com/webapp/wcs/stores… and tried it from there. Can't add a non US address. Perhaps not such a good deal for us….

        • Same here. I'd jump at te chance of a year of Wired for $10. But US postal addresses only.

  • That's weird. The page I get is an international one, and I only just ordered Wired for myself. OK, I originally got this link off Buckscoop, so try the one there:

    http://www.buckscoop.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=26733

    Hope that works for you.

    • Yep the bucketscoop link works.

      Only $70 isn't a discount for a subscription to Wired, it's the usual price:

      https://magazine.wired.com/ecom/subscribe.jsp?oppId=4800026&…

      • True, but still cheaper than what iSubscribe and other local places are offering. I guess the "discount" comes from the high AUD exchange rate :-)

      • I had no idea that you could just subscribe to Wired from their website. Magshop.com.au (where I normally get my subscriptions) has Wired for $251 per year!

        • .

  • Looks like works for US only!!! May be post the token?

    • Try the buckscoop link. That works.

  • Yup. Bit weird. I managed to get Wired mag for $70.

  • Holy Cow. I also added on Condé Nast Traveler 24 issues for only $18.00 USD !!!!!!!!
