I just noticed that as well. I only copied from website - think it is a mistake ^_^
anyway, I removed it.
They got the message and changed it on their website ;)
Anyone know anything about how easy to use the PVR is on this?
I dont have one but I think the way they work is find what you want to record - hit record - thats it. No advanced timeshifting or scheduling.
There's no point buying a HD TV these days.
Please elaborate?
I think he means there is no point buying a HD TV these days when FULL HD TVs are only slightly more expensive… right Broden?
Not even a noticable difference in a TV this small
@swimmingtoad: Thats only if you do scientific tests.
Forget reality. People perceive a difference, and that is all that matters in retailing.@swimmingtoad: Noticeable if you intend to use the TV as a monitor for your laptop in your bedroom. :-)
I've got one of these - picture is fine but the sounds quality is the worst of any TV I've come across. I wouldn't recommend buying unless you have a sound system to hook it up to
More importantly they have a $50 wall bracket!
Does anyone know what formats you can play with usb drives on this?
I wanna know about the USBs too
JPEG
You can play movies as well but there is no sound, just need to take 1 million jpeg snapshots of the movie beforehand, pretty neat.
How would you go about connecting a dvd player with the video/audio cables (red, yellow, white)?
Does this tv provide a socket for video/audio cables?
Thanks in advanced.
Preferably do not. Used the component red-green-blue video instead of the single yellow one, and set it for progressive output. Same shielded RCA cable though.
So they do have rca sockets?
Haven't been up-to-date with tv technology, I would assume the hdmi input replaced the rca sockets? It does not seem to mention if it has rca sockets.
The PVR function seems cool, they took their time to come up with something like that.
Thanks
I've just bought one of these. Great Picture quality, changing channels is pretty slow (Mrs has plenty of time - no big deal), but the sound quality is tinny. I have hooked up an external sound system which disables the internal speakers and I guess solves the problem. However when you mute or lower the volume on the TV it doesn't change the output to the sound system. Does anyone know of a way for output to the sound system to be controlled by the TV ? If not, is a sound system with it's own remote my only option? … not more bloody remotes !!!
Better option is to get a PVR (ie set-top box with hard-drive), and use its remote. Could solve the slow channel switching, and you do not have to watch any more of those horrid adverts.
Thanks freddy … never considered that path.
"106CM PVR"
…what?
