  • can anyone comment on quality and if this is good value?

  • Not on the Navman website as a current model and no bonus 2 year warranty/map update. Reasonable price for a bluetooth capable GPS but new maps will cost you $99 per release.
The CNET reviewer wasn't too impressed either. The review date was November 2009

  • I personally got a Navman S50 (bought in 2008)and a Navman MY50T (bought this year). The maps for the MY50T was far worse than the S50. So many places could not be found. POssibly because S50 uses map from sensis and MY50T uses map from Navteq.

Even though Navman claims that the map for MY50T was a 2009 map, many places have not been updated. Especially the upgraded tulla freeway and the upgraded exits from burnley tunnel to the airport.

Another annoying issue was the constant reminder of school zones to go 40 even when it is not within the specified time. Unless Navman changes their maps back to Sensis, I wouldnt be getting another Navman if I want to upgrade to a new GPS
