  • Did you get this? Is it any good?

    • I've ordered it, but no idea. I like the idea of having something printed instead of checking google each time and the fact that it is Australian is a plus too.

Good that it's Australian. Saves hours driving around trying to find "Muriatic Acid".

Thanks, worth a read when using the test kit :)

    Ordered! Thanks.

  • How do you guys clean all the leaves and debris from the bottom of the pool after coming back from a 2 month holiday? My cleaner seems never has worked well.:(

    The old-school labour intensive scooping?

      We bought this

Wasn't cheap, but works really well, for 2 months, you might need to empty it a few times.

      • Thanks SuperC. I've just bumped into the robotic cleaner, too. Yes the price is dear!

        • Is it true you can't just leave it in the pool? That's a deal breaker for me.

        • @LoopyLou:
          You are correct yes.
But these vx cleaners can clean a pool in under 3 hours depending on size. So no need to leave it in. Just put it in the pool when you want to use it.

        • @LoopyLou: Yes, but you also only need to chuck it in every once a week for a few hours. In summer it was my Saturday morning ritual, throw it in for about 3 hours, pool is clean and ready to go.

        • @SuperC:

Thanks guys. My pool is pretty tiny, I may as well just vacuum it myself if I need to drop in, remember to come back, pack it up etc.

    • If it's green I bring the chlorine levels up, then I floc. When everything is on the bottom I let my http://www.thepoolcleaner.com/2xpoolcleaner.html do its work. Refill and leave it for a few days for chlorine levels to come down and balance everything up.

    • I put a big canvas (shutdown) cover over the pool when we go away (and also over winter). Saves electricity and no work required to maintain the pool. Then all I need to do when I take the cover off is to balance the water and it's good to go again.

  • Is this just an e-Book or a hard copy?
