    lacking Quick Charge

The QC and PD version will be on preorder this month D:

      • +11

Thanks. Give the heads up for the QC/ PD version. Will definitely pick one up.

      • [Qualcomm Certified] BlitzWolf® BW-S6 Quick Charge 3.0+2.4A 30W Charger AU Adapter With Power3S Tech Product ID: 1082834

Has been in my wishlist for a while.. sold out last time. Will def Pick it up if in stock!

      • I got some cheap substitutes before that only does 3.4A total from Ebay. Waiting for the proper QC ones!!

      • +1

Even though I already have multiple chargers, I will definitely pick up quite a few of those. Please let us know ASAP once these are available. Or even better - pre-order earlier :)

      • Please do give us a heads-up, rep. There seems to be a good demand for it.

      • Will bw-s6 be on that?
Have faulty one, but want replacement not refund!

      • Will there be dual QC?

    • Any charger that can intelligently know what device is attached and select which charge mode would be suitable?

      • +2

There the charger tells device it's a charger and not PC USB port , device requests extra current and charger delivers it . So it charges at 12w not 5w

        • In my experience if it is not quick charge certified it will charge at 1.3a, about 8w. It could even drop to 0.39a which is about 3w. This is pretty slow for a big phone.

        • +1

@MikeKulls: Depends on the charger and cable. I have no problem getting 1.8A @5V with some cables and only get 1.2 with others with my Tronsmart charger on the non-QC ports. Nothing will beat QC, but if you don't have QC then a good cable is more important.

        • @ethan961: that is interesting because I couldn't find a difference between cables. I tried everything from genuine Samsung to a really shitty thin retractable one I had. Nothing would go over 1.39 amps. I tried multiple chargers, USB ports, car chargers etc. I did only try a couple of devices though as that was all I had.

  • +2

Does it come with multiple adapter plugs for worldwide compatibility?

  • Portable-Dual USB interfaces and has a foldable plug,

Is that with the AU plug..? I've never seen a foldable AU plug

    • +13

It will fold if you step on it with your bare foot. Promise.

    • -1

I've seen travel adapters that have folding US prongs that also rotate so they fit AU/China outlets. All we'd need is insulation on the lower half of the pins.

  • +1

You did have a quick charge version that I preordered a long time ago but problems made it unavailable and you never released it again.
    Is this the replacement?

    • +1

Although it appears similar in look to an older version, it is in fact different. It has been re-engineered to improve performance and efficiency. Due to these changes, the dimensions of the charger is slightly larger than the original version.

      • +1

And doesn't have quickcharge 3.0 like the old preorder.

        • +2
        • @Kangal: I can't remember the model number but, hey, it looks like it.
I did the preorder around 6 months ago but the had manufacturing problems and I was refunded. I look over time but it never came back then I stopped checking .
Good find. I would rather that for $6 more.

        • @PVA: but a pity it's not available

    • Is this the replacement?

      No

  • If you just plug iPad Pro to one of the ports would it charge at 24w? Or is 12w max per port?

    • Won't charge at 24w …..it does 2x 12w ….24w at 5v would damage most USB cables.

      • ah… is that why i would need the usb-c to lightning cable even with the apple macbook charger then, to take advantage of the quick charge?… i bought the usb-c to lightning cable to connect to the back of my new imac to charge my ipad - i wonder if that is charging at 24w full throttle then..

  • This is a good deal.

  • Perfect for Travel: Portable-Dual USB interfaces and has a foldable plug, fits in the palm of your hand. The compact and light design is perfect for your travel.

I'm guessing the foldable part doesn't apply to the AU plug? Still going to put myself down for one of these though, very handy.

    • can't be used on preorders

  • Will this fast charge an S8?

    • -3

Who cares, it's cheap for 2 Ports LOL

    • No, it doesn't support Qualcomm's Quick Charge. It only supports 5V charging.

  • My new iPad pro comes with a 12W charger. i should be able to charge it in the same time as my genuine Apple one correct? While simultaneously charging my iPhone 7 plus for example?

    • +1

      I don't see why not!!!

    • Unless Apple does something weird.
I couldn't charge my iPad Pro with the plague pack that's for my wife's Samsung S2 tablet. No idea why, just wouldn't charge.

    • +3

iPad Pro 10 inch and 12 inch both support USB-PD. However, you need the 29W charger from Apple to get the fast charge. Apple continues to put in a slower charger in iPad Pros. Even if you decided to get the faster charger, you will need a different cable (USB-C to lightning).

      • Very informative, thank you! I could always use my macbook usb C charger in that case.. but then I'd still need a USB C to Lightning cable.

        • +1

Yeah, not sure whether you can use the USB-C to USB-A adapter + the USB to lightning cable instead. I don't have an iPad Pro 10 or 12 inch. The Macbook USB C charger is 29W. Macbook Pro ones are 61W or 87W (iPad Pro 10/12 don't benefit more from using those). The USB-C to lightning cable is expensive.

    • +1

yes, I charge 2 ipads off a blitzwolf at 12W each….. have the 5 port version which uses the same chipset.

  • +4

    We want quick charge!

  • Thanks OP, bought 2, one for myself and one for the wife

  • +1

I feel like I should wait for QC, Even though iPhone doesn't have it yet.
    We can only hope!!

      • +1

the Rep has promised this product for months and has still not deilvered

        • -1

Yep, that's what I Pre ordered, was never available and looks like still isn't.

        • +1

          @PVA:

Everyone has been waiting ages. I feel BLITZWOLF are treating us pre-order customers as interest free overdrafts. Whom is OzBargaining
          Whom?

  • So with an s8 will this fast charge as quick as the samsung charger?

    • No as this is not quick charge compatible. But won't be much slower I believe :)

  • I recently bought the BlitzWolf BW-S9 18W for my iPad Pro 10.5 since it charges at ~3A. Is there anything more powerful that'll charge an iPad Pro faster?

    • not ….. even at 2.4a the connectors on the cable ends warm up ….. there limits on 5V.

  • Besides the smaller size and compactness, is there anything this does that the 40w 5 port Blitzwolf doesn't?

  • Pre-ordered 4.
I have the QC model and it's great - although I've never used QC in my life, so this one will do me and family just fine :)

Came here to buy a charger - read the comments - now realise i am not qualified to choose a charger - will go back to school.

    • Haha. Me too. Why isn't this compatible with iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8?

      • Hmmm.. I just bought 3 of them and we all have Iphone 7"s . Please don"t tell me I"ve just burnt $30 !!

        • +1

          It will work with iPhone.

        • no they charge Iphones at 12W and Samsungs at 12W …..

  • +2

A good deal, but I will stay away from BlitzWolf. My current BlitzWolf sings to me with serious coil whine at anything that draws more than 0.8A

    • What model, and what are you charging.

    • The sound of my people

  • This is just the white one, aye? Does it come in black as well, perchance?

  • +2

Tested for separation between the high voltage and low voltage sides of the switch mode PCB so it won't kill somebody?

    RCM (C-Tick replacement) certified?

Tested by SAA, TUV, UL, Global-Mark, or another certifier?

    • RCM certification is the difference between life and death. Do not use charger that doesn't meet at least this standard or Euro CE certification.

  • Compatible with LG v20?

  • How much standby power does this use

  • Do you have something similar to this product but with EU plug ( for Indonesian)? Oh and does this support iphone 7+?

  • +4

Based on the specs, this will charge iPhones, iPads, iPad Pros, Android phones. It does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge, nor USB-PD (for 10, 12 inch iPad Pros to charge much faster).

Power3S Technology - basically, it means it is coded to support both Android and Apple devices. Apple chargers, while quite good, is coded mainly for Apple devices. You will find that on some Android tablets, it won't feed more than 0.5A to it. Likewise for some of the 3rd party 2A chargers coded for Apple. Android chargers (ones provided to you by your tablet manufacturers tend to be more flexible and will charge iPhones / iPads at decent rate).

BlitzWolf chargers often come with a micro USB cable. I found that the cable does support faster charging (I haven't got around to try Qualcomm Quick Charge yet - my device still has decent amount of battery left). However, it appears to allow slightly more current through than original cable (about 0.1A more). Whether this is a good thing or not I am not sure.

    • Thanks for this comment… who would of known why some devices charge slower on certain chargers. Crazy how this can happen to something simple as a charger.

      • I did some simple tests on some of the chargers. I was originally planning to use Apple chargers more often (since they were/are reasonably priced - if you compared to getting a genuine replacement charger for HTC, Samsung, Sony etc…). However, I found that Apple chargers won't charge some Android tablets correctly (it doesn't think it is safe to send more than 500mA current to them).

Also, for people with USB-C phones and quick charge or USB-PD technologies, avoid mixing cables and chargers between phones, even if the cables and chargers are from the same brand (especially Google branded ones - that's because phones can be made by different companies (LG, Huawei) and they are still officially Google branded phones).

Found a review of the older version of this charger.
        http://lygte-info.dk/review/USBpower%20BlitzWolf%2024W%20Dua…

Do bear in mind that all 2 port chargers tend to have more noise than 1 port chargers (there are some really good ones, but they cannot beat good 1 port chargers in terms of noise). There are some really bad 1 port charger with more noise. The main gripe is that you can draw up to 6A out of each port (when only 1 port is in used) - again, the review is for older version of the charger.

      • it's not crazy …… it goes back to the days when people used to charge via the USB 2.0 ports on PCs, they were limited to 5W …. when they decided to make "chargers" they used 2 of the pins to signal to device that it was a charge port not a data port and capable of 12W and not a PC port capable of 5W …… apple and android use a different method to indicate that it's a charge port, not a data port, so these newer charger signal both apple and android, rather than you needed an apple or android charger to get the full 12W.

        • -1

          Umm…USB 2.0 is limited to 2.5W (0.5A).

  • Is it possible to turn off the LEDs at all? Are they bright?

  • IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! WOOOOO

    Edit: Nvm no quick charge

  • What's a good alternate with quick charge that I can purchase immediately rather than preorder?
    *with Aussie plug

  • +1

Thanks OP ordered. Hopefully arrives before my overseas trip in October.

Am I the only one that isn't bothered by lack of QC? I charge my phone overnight…

    • I'm guessing you haven't tried out QC yet, you won't want to go back afterwards.

It's also very useful for charging the power banks that can take advantage of the QC technology. They take ages to charge as they're normally 3-6 times the size of a normal phone battery.

  • couldn't wait any longer so i picked BW-S7

  • Thanks. Bought

  • Will it charge something like a Nintendo Switch? IIRC it needs at least 5V to trickle charge.

    • yeah i reckon it would.

  • Au plug AND dual port for less than $10?!
    What a bargain!

  • Did i get one YES, do i need one NO.

  • Item shipped

  • Anyone got theirs yet?
