Alas, unless you're currently unsubbed/your sub rolls over before the end of the month, looks like you may be out of luck to get this deal. Kind of a shame, as even after the price hike, it still works out cheaper per month than 12 months at the current price.

    • +2

Whys that? My sub finishes in november and i can purchase this 15 months to stack on my current subscription

      • +1

you couldnt the previous 15 for 12 deal last month. (deals been around since May)

        • +2

Definitely worked for me, got the confirmation email saying my next subscription date is march 2019

        • @mccaj09: good one, looks like I'll have to do it now.

      • Hi, where can you see how many months remain?

        • +3

the only way to see your ps+ expiry date when not on your ps4 (its a menu item on the console) is to go to account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com and then media and see when your ps+ game access expires as that is the end date of your ps+

        • @furys12: Thanks! Very handy to know as I didn't.

    • confirmed it stacks regardless of current end date by many on reddit, and confirmed it stacks if your sub renews in 4 days time by me

  • +1

This one seems to work for everyone subbed/unsubbed. I have my sub all the way to 2019 and I can still purchase this

  • +6

Must be a show of "goodwill" before the price hike and guarantee your continued subscription to keep your 30 ps plus games

  • Can confirm, this definitely stacks onto current subscriptions.

Mine was up for renewal around November or December, and after purchasing this, I'm now due March 2019.

  • +1

Shit I just renewed last week

    • +1

It's stackable, so you can tack on another 15 months if you want.

      • +8

        lol I'm not that keen

    • the ozb way would be to call sony and "complain" until they retroactively give you the new price

  • +1

I'm guessing it won't work on a US account?

    • +3

They have separate deals to us. I will repost if this deal comes up on my US account

  • can i use credit sitting on my account to pay for this or does it have to be paid by credit card?
can u purchase it twice u reckon?

    • yes and most likely yes, mine used the credit i had sitting there and then hit my cc for the rest and normally you can buy and stack multiple ps+ subs so this shouldn't be different

  • +1

My sub expired end of last year (stopped playing destiny) and I haven't renewed. My PS4 is being used as an expensive media player right now. Mostly pc gaming.

Just not being drawn to anything on PS4 right now… Destiny 2 looks meh… Probably get cod ? Haven't played since IW, which was average.

I'll probably grab this deal close to expiry in anticipation though, thanks !

    • -1

Destiny 2 & CoD are both on PC though. I'd look more towards Yakuza Kimawi & Uncharted Legacy for PS4 exclusives :)

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323826

    • Horizon Zero Dawn.

      • is absolutely a must play but doesn't require ps+

    • Infinite Warfare is gorgeous and has great single player story - don't sleep on it - especially during the $30-$40 sales

      Currently 39.98 on AU store
      https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-au/games/call-of-duty-in…

    • I don't know about multiplayer centric titles, but there are some awesome games on the horizon - Last of Us 2, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, Days Gone, Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Strading, God of War etc. etc.

  • -1

How much is it in $A?

    • $69.95 - have now updated with price in title

  • this is probably a real bargain given $ony will be increasing the PS+ fees soon

  • Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://store.playstation.com/" on this server.

    lol wut!

    • Worked for me :)

    • This looks like a typical browser-related issue. If you just change a browser (Firefox/IE/Chrome/Safari whatever) I assume it would work.

  • Cheers mate. I was holding out for a better deal for PS Plus. People might want to consider that the base price is increasing by by $10 to $79. This will probably be the last deal before we have it come into effect (some time this month).

  • Does anyone know if you can claim one of the 12month subscription cards you can buy in shops? Or does the purchase have to be through the link on this store?

    • it's an individual item in the store, separate to the regular ps+ sub items, meaning not a setup where if it sees you buy 12 it throws on an extra 3, so i would say you have to use this link

    • maybe buy wallet top up in store, enter them, then do it through link??
      would that work?

im in the same boat, need to use a gift card up..

      • Sounds like the best solution Fizzydrink 🙄

        • i'll let you see if it works, if it does let me know!

        • @Fizzydrink:

Ok I might get to it in a few days

        • @Fizzydrink:

Ok I might get to it in a few days

  • +1

Kind of odd that the Australian link only mentions the new price of subscriptions in £'s :\

    • +1

sadly not the first time they have copypasta'd the base EU region text and forgot the localise it

      • +1

There is no local AUS PSN, Australian PSN run by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe on behalf of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, hosted in europe. There may be a mirrored site more local to us, but the store and a lot of the network functions are routed through EU somewhere.

        • +1

yeah sure i'm saying usually they serve up localised details when you hit the au domain, mostly just the price but occasionally dates too, but almost too regularly they forget and we are left to figure it out ourselves and hope the direct conversion is good

  • Good deal, works out around $4.66 a month.

    • Thanks for doing the maths! Have added this detail into the description

  • Anyone know how long you can stack? Mine expires July 2018, but wouldn't mind jumping on this if it stacks over 2 years.

    • +2

      Mine expires in June 2021

    • +2

I got 3 years on mine. Had to jump on it when JbHiFi did the 12 months for 47 few months back, but messed up and gave double discounts so I paid 30 ea and got 3.. Pretty sure max is 3 years though.

      • +1

Awesome deal. Though to clarify, the maximum is not 3 years as mine expires in 4 years (05/06/2021)

        • Ah I see, I read somehwere on here it was 3, might consider buying another years worth before the price increase then. Thanks

  • Does this allow you to buy more than one and stack them?
URL is blocked at work, so can't check.

    • +2

I just stacked two of them and have PS+ until 2020.

      • I tried to on mobile, 1st one worked fine. Repeat attempts are bouncing back. Bank called me to ask why Sony is charging and then withdrawing transactions haha.

I'll try again from PC or PS4 tonight.

      • I stacked 3 on CC, wouldn't work on paypal.

  • I'm new to the PS4 world, not sure if anyone would be able to answer this, but is one PS store better than another?
Example with my Xbox, I can look at other worldwide stores and buy credits etc to get the games cheaper than buying from Australia.

So would signing up for PS+ for US or the UK be better than the Australian store? Or are PS+ game deals pretty much the same across the world?

Weighing up whether or not to get this deal or another country PS+. Thanks for any comments. :)

    • +1

A lot of people think the US Store is better due to better sales and such

In saying that, I have a US account and barely use it so yeah that's just me

    • +1

I have both and find the sales between the two regions to be very similar in value. In terms of maximising your value, its best to have an account with both, as the regions themselves have different deals such as "spend 100 get 15$ wallet cashback." Also, the US Store has new release games around $20AUD cheaper than the AU store - so if you purchase new release games digitally, the US store has a clear value advantage. But doing this does not require you to have a PS Plus subscription for both. Generally speaking, the PS Plus related deals are similar and unless you are a power user, I'm not sure you would see the value in maintaining both PS Plus subscriptions.

      • Thanks for the comments! :)

    • I have both an AU account and a US account. I have PS+ on my AU account. If I had my time over, I would definitely have gotten PS+ on my US account rather than my AU account. The have bigger and better sales and usually have an even bigger discount if you have PS+. The AU store does ocassionally have some amazing deals (I got Uncharted 4 for AU$30 way before it ever went on sale on the US store) but overall I think it would be better to have PS+ on your US account.

  • The fact that we had a free service that they now charge for is a joke i would avoid this completely and hit them were it hurts and maybe they will revert it back to free they are just taking people for a ride and most are willingly complying

    • I felt that way initially when they first implemented this idea, coming from the free platform Steam - why do I get charged for multiplayer on playstation but not on PC? But now, understanding some of network infrastructure costs involved with providing this service, we aren't being "taken for a ride" at all. There are few articles out there where Sony discuss where the funds go which might help you to feel better about it. Also, consider that you are getting a free complement of games each month, the additional online save storage and some savings deals which combine to make this very good value. Rocket League is great example of an awesome PS Plus game that makes the service feel really special - who knows what that game would've been without it. :D

    • +1

I agree with you. In fact I rather use that money to buy games instead. I will never subscribe. It doesn't work with casual gamers

  • +1

On the one hand, this is a decent price and quite worth it.

On the other hand, your price hikes can (profanity) off and I don't wanna support the Plus service either way.

  • +1

How do I turn off the automatic charge when the subscription expires?

    • you can do it on the playstation through your account settings.

or you can go to account management on the PC > media > all media > games, then tediously arrow through until you get to ps plus and there's an option there.

  • What’s the maximum amount to stack up on PlayStation plus?

    • At least 6 years, though some say it never ends…

      • At least 16 years.

Edit: Make that at least 16.5 years. My subscription expires Feb 2034.

  • I feel like a sucker for paying for this, but I'm gonna get a few years worth at this price.

  • I missed this! Dammit!

    • Me too! I thought it was until end of the month

      • I TOO AM SPITTING CHIPS BLOKES! What kinda bullshittery is it to have your new subscription price come into effect two days before the end of a month? What kinda bloody drongos are working at PSN? Now it's gonna cost me $6.58 a month to play online until next year's Days of Play sale to get the cheap subscriptions >:-<

        • I'M GROPABLE KIMMY!
