Why was it the best decision? From what I hear (pardon the pun), the noise cancellation is exactly the same on both devices.
I own both. Exactly the same. Just wireless.
The QC35 have better noise cancellation than the QC25. You get less of the underwater/pressure feeling. The QC25 cable was very annoying, super long and always got caught around stuff.
The mic on the QC25 sucked people always complained when they'd talk to me that it would pick up heaps of background noise, whereas with the QC35 they can hear me absolutely clear even if i'm talking in a very crowded noisy area.
@sshazam: they literally use the same ANC
You must be experiencing a placebo effect
I thought the opposite
Maybe, but I still think the QC35 offer better noise cancelling especially after all the updates. InnerFidelity showed the QC35 offer better noise cancelling (maybe due to the mics). Even if they offer the same level, i've found making calls on the QC35 to be much better. But each to their own. I think the fact that you can update the headphones, adjust the noise cancelling with the app and not be restricted by the cable is worth the extra cost. Only downside is the lack of interchangeable battery like the QC25.

Damn, I was looking on their site for a pair of these when I bought the Xiaomi vac last night, but they were $399.
Just missed out :(
Curse my sleep time and missing out on bargains!
Bought from videopro for $370,waiting for delivery. Sony mdr1000x so far has been really nice.
I upgraded my QC25 to the QC35 and hands down one of the best decisions made. For anyone looking for excellent noise cancellation these are definitely worth it. I'm not an audiophile so can't complain about the sound but some do say it's not that great. Overall if you want to ditch the cords and not have to hear the annoying people that catch public transport, this is the headphone for you.
