As an aside (hijack), how have you been finding skymesh?
Actually, Skymesh rarely drops out. The lag I experienced was likely my powerline adapter going to sleep mode.
I'm subscribed to 50mb down / 20 up & I find at peak hours congestion means I get roughly 30~40mbps.
Which isn't too bad but connections to USA servers are significantly slower during the night (25mbps average).
Might consider switching if the performance worsens, but right now I'm still Ok with the services.

Out of curiosity, are you on FTTP/FTTN/HFC? We're only getting the HFC offering in my area (Chadstone), and even then it's not actually available even though it says so on the nbnco site. Lies!

Not dustproof / waterproof but might be worth a shot for some.
