    any 4k screens?

      21P38AAU AS NEW Dell UltraSharp UP3216Q 31.5 1 Year None 6 $ 1,239

      • thanks im here googling product codes not sure whats what

    • +2

Looks for model no. ending with Q, which means 4K in Dell designation.

      There is one

      V88PNRAU Refurbished Dell P2715Q $519

      • Q = QHD no?

        UHD = 4k

        • +1

QHD is Quad HD (720p) aka 1440p. '4k' is UHD/2160p. I guess Dell's Q means Quad FHD (1080p) but that's not how the industry uses it

Edit: I'm not sure if I misread your post or if you edited it :(

        • @roseyhead: Quad HD is not 720p (HD 1280×720) - QHD is 1440p (QHD 2560x1440)

        • +2

          @BigglesKDH: I think @roseyhead meant HD = 720p so QHD (4 x HD) = 1440p

        • +1

@roseyhead: i did edit it shortly after i posted… to be honest i think i confused myself in the first place haha

        • @larryhudson: Yep, that's it. I could've been a bit clearer myself!

        • @roseyhead: Isn't Quad FHD = 2160p? Because it's 4x 1080p since FHD = 1080p…

        • +1

@Zachary: Right, 'quad FHD' is 2160p but people don't really use it (aside from shady Chinese tablet vendors, according to google) because the industry-standard term is UHD.

This whole comment thread would've been a lot easier if people refrained from referring to resolutions using marketing phrases.

    • UP3216Q $1239

Dell U2725H $409 as new, while $419 refurbished, I wonder how guys at Dell mark down these monitors, any rules or criteria? 😵

    • I always thought As New is generally a customer change of mind and it may or may not leave the warehouse.

      Could be wrong.

      • +2

My point is why they mark down refurbished one less than new one, mind-bogging to me. 😵

        • Agreed, I bought a Laptop recently. The 'As New' was barely marked down compared to the Refurb.

    • You are possibly looking on the US site for NEW, I did this just now too

      • +2

No, I'm referring to the DFO listing mentioned in this post

        CH6HGRAU Refurbished Dell UltraSharp U2715H 27 1 Year None 1 $ 419
        CH6HGAAU AS NEW Dell UltraSharp U2715H 27 1 Year None 15 $ 409

As new is cheaper than refurbished one.

I query how guys in Dell mark down these monitors. It's seems against normal people's logic, here is another examples

        9N6WWAAU AS NEW Dell SE2716H 27 1 Year None 2 $ 279
        9N6WWAAU AS NEW Dell SE2716H 27 1 Year None 2 $ 269
        9N6WWRAU Refurbished Dell SE2716H 27 1 Year None 2 $ 279
        9N6WWRAU Refurbished Dell SE2716H 27 1 Year None 2 $ 269

The same bundle # with 2 different price tags.

        • +1

AH, I see, very odd logic

    • +2

As New are orders that were either cancelled, or shipped out to a customer who either did not open the box or decided to return the order without ever using it. As new items do not have any cosmetic damages.

Refurbished items on the other hand have been used and then returned to Dell, put through the production process, and then again retested to ensure they meet all original factory specifications. Refurbished monitors may have some observable cosmetic blemishes, but they will not affect performance.

  • +2

I bought refurbished u2715h $359 last month. Pretty good! Strongly recommended!

  • 93 of those 34inch curved refurbished monitors…sounds like a bad model/batch that's highly susceptible to faults.

    • do they till you the reason it is refurb? cosmetic issues?

    • Because their standard is really high when it comes to these monitors. If you find one dead pixel only on the monitor, you can send it back to DELL for replacement.

    • Er … and why would you think that as opposed to peoplre returning them?

      • actually there are some on there that are the same monitor but "as new". different bundle number.
I wonder why they are charging the same for as new as well as refurb.

Thanks OP - been waiting for the 2414H to show up on the DFO site for ages now!

  • I wish they would make a 34" with G-sync

    • +1

I wish somebody would make a budget screen with g-sync. Seems like g-sync is on the upper end of monitor prices and free-sync is on everything else.

      • +1

G-sync requires adding hardware to the monitor which costs dollars.

  • Hmm, might have to go a S2716DG, Anyone know Dell's Dead pixel policy?

  • I've got "AS NEW" curved 27" SE2716H for $269. Great deal!

tell you what, this live-chat purchasing process sucks the big one…
    E2417H incoming hopefully…

    • Yeah, regretting mentioning my intentions here… looks like an hour+ till I get through the online chat

      • i was 14th in queue when i started and it took about 5-10mins or so to get through. but then you tell them what you want and they email their inventory department and await a reply
started at 3:10pm and it's now 3:49pm and still waiting for the final quotation before i can submit a payment :\

        • well, about 45 minutes now, went from 32 to 13 in Queue…

        • +1

          @menvert:
oh yikes.. yeah you've got a bit of a wait there

my whole thing was 54min in total, it's on it's way now. yay!

        • @menvert:
how'd you go? get through? :D

        • @jaybo:
          Eventually, but sold out

        • @menvert:
          aww crap! :(

    • Yes, it took them a long time to check the availability, then another long time to prepare for the quote. It took me from 2:07pm starting the chat to 2:50pm to coplete the purchase.

Also, the email trick some one in ozbargain mentioned previously didn't work at this time of the day. I sent out the email 'request to buy' at 2:02pm. Luckily after 5 minutes without and acknowledgement of someone reading it, I decided to go on the online chat and purchase through there.

3:22pm they finally read my email and advised the monitors I wanted were 'out of stock'. I would have kicked myself if I had trusted them doing the right thing.

U2715H got ozbargained. Did not get one…… :(

        • @DrMilan: it should work well, i got it for my 1070 just wont be able to take advantage of freesync

  • What does DIS,FPL mean , very vague description

Love the U2715H monitors, fitted out our whole office with them.

  • Just great. I'm too poor ATM to get one lol.

  • Anything with usb-c?

  • This 34 or a Philips 32? http://www.msy.com.au/vic/northmelbourne/peripherals/17852-p…

    size difference aside…

also tossing up between 27s, above Dell and another Philips http://www.msy.com.au/qld/brendale/peripherals/16083-philips…
The philips got a good review on one tech site, cant remember which now.

    • Dell.

    • I'd buy the Dell.

Bet the Dell has higher reviews overall.

      • With the Dell 34 user reviews suggest its common for yellow corners and backlight bleed. There was a revision model released, but some reports said it was same. Pro reviews seem to like it though. All gone now anyway.

  • Damn all gone!

    • Can't be all gone, which one did you try for?

      • I've asked 4 of them and all gone.

        U29W, S2716DG, U2715H

They have updated the list I think

  • I have the 27" qhd 144 hz and its amazing !!

    • Which model from that list is 27" qhd 144hz?

      • I have this model S2716GD and I dont believe its on sale tho mate. Paid $799 for it on special.

        • +1

S2716DG you mean? How's the TN panel?

        • +1

@vee124: yeah find it great 144 hz is next level, no light bleed and 3 yr next business day onsite warranty is great

  • Darn.. Missed the standard u2417h (refurbished/as-new) by a couple of mins

  • Any good laptops on here, wanting something with great battery life.

  • Good price

  • +1

by the time i went to pull the trigger it was too late! damn my need to research a review something before i buy haha

    • +1

Ha, you were first to post too…

      • Bloody work distracting me from my Ozbargaining haha

  • +2

I've eyeing that website for AGES, checked this morning even, not a single monitor there. I was looking for a 27" 1440, but of course, missed it :(

    • Morning: nothing.

After lunch, right before an exam: all there.

I feel your pain haha, now checking the DFO page is my daily routine

    • Look's like the page is back, but they're closed for the day. One available for someone when they open in the morning!

  • How often do they add monitors on there then? Debating whether to wait for next time or buy elsewhere now

    • +1

I think the list was blank for over a month before this but I didn't check every day. Before that, they had a few monitors listed but they were not good ones that were on the list for weeks. I think it has been about 3 months before this since they had anything good listed.

      • Ok thank you!

  • wow, out of stock already!

    • +1

I'm pretty sure they haven't sold out of everything. Can't have sold 90 of the 34".

Probably just closed for the night so they've turned it off, but I've expired it just in case.

      • Blank again. Just like it has been for months.

        • I don't get how it works, there clearly was a lot of stock left yesterday of the expensive 34".

Maybe a reseller has just come in and bought the lot.
