    Yeah I noticed that, the motor is the same across the V6 range so that shouldn't make any difference.

    But I don't think the Animal comes with a motorised head as they've listed, and the Slim doesn't come with the mini-motorised tool.

    EDIT: I've changed the first two points to clarify.

  Does anyone know if this is the V6 Animal or the V6 Animal extra? The information from Dyson on the BigW page states that it is the V6 Animal extra. The difference is that the older model (V6 Animal) has a motorised head but the extra has the direct drive head.

  Hello there, It's Jamie at Dyson. The difference between the machines is that the V6 Animal Extra come with a cleanerhead that is 75% more powerful than the one supplied with the V6 Animal. The V6 Animal Extra also comes with an extra stubborn dirt tool.

    I don't think this one is the Extra, the Extra comes with a crevice tool, dirt tool and combo tool.

    The Big W images only show the standard Animal heads.
