Eset Premium Security 6 Month Trial - Free

120
B675-2121

I received this flyer in my order from Kogan.
It doesn't state on the flyer what the deal is, just to go to the website and enter the code to get Premium Internet Security Complimentary to your Kogan purchase (I received 4 separate parcels from Kogan and each one had a flyer in it with the same code, so isn't specific to one use).
I tried it and it gives a serial number for 6 months free trial of Eset Premium Internet Security.
Name, Email and Flyer Licence Key is required for registration and when activating the code, you need to setup an Eset account.

Thanks, if this doesn't work for you, try Sophos Home - free for up to 10 devices on one free Home account

    • Sophos is free for 10 devices - yeah what a bargain but it also let viruses free to get in your PC!

By the way, you can call Sophos Tech support but it'll cost you. What a clever way to do business. No wonder they are No. 1 in the world.

      • you can call Sophos Tech support but it'll cost you

as it should. If you don't understand how to operate their free software, why should they give you free support to boot?

would you go to work for free and then spend time after hours giving free over the phone support to your customers you make no money from? didn't think so

I think you are failing to see the bigger picture.

Lots of people download the free software, but if no one knows how to use it will people pay for support for a debatably questionable antivirus or will they pay to get one known to work (Norton, TrendMicro etc)?

In fact, most people won't do either; they'll just go to the next free antivirus software (like the one listed!!). Once they get popular and reputable then they can start charging but not before. Cost benefit analysis.

        • @pennypincher98:

          debatably questionable antivirus

yes its a scam, Sophos created the company 32 years ago to scam people for support for a free product in the year 2017

@wingwang: are you associated with Sophos?? You seem so desperate not to let anyone tarnish their already tarnished reputation.

I'll fill you in because you are obviously either oblivious or incredibly naïve. Sophos isn't a scam. Its just not the best antivirus so things can get through it.

        • @pennypincher98:

show me where Sophos has been tarnished, give me the links. You don't even know what Sophos is, but apparently you're all of a sudden an expert on the topic.

          I'll give you a hint - https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/business-windows-client…

Sophos is one of the oldest and one of the best AV you can possibly ever use

@wingwang: Society doesn't have links. The word of mouth is stronger than what some sponsored, affiliated or otherwise bribed review says about them.

I know people that have got viruses with this software so I don't use it. Never said you didn't have to, it's my choice and some wingwang on OzB isn't going to make me use it. Clear? Awesome.

        • @wingwang:

Now I am sure you are associated with Sophos. I am working for a Data Security company and we are dealing with many antivirus software.

Sophos is not the worse but their technical service is!

If you don't prepare to support your software, don't release them!

You can get a (additional) 12 month license if you like, simply by emailling
    [email protected]

and then mentioning the PC TECH AUTHORITY magazine and say you want a free year license. However, the response I got was that they generate license keys every monday and email them out that same day.

    • what's the go with this? i'm actually a subscriber of PC tech authority, is it mentioned in a particular issue or something?

  • step 1. create a gmail account [email protected]
step 2. download NOD32 trial using gmail address
step 3. when trial month is over, enter gmail address with a dot somewhere in it [email protected] get another month free trial
step 4. when trial month is over, enter gmail address with a dot somewhere else in it [email protected] get another month free trial

rinse and repeat, never buy an ESET product ever again for 2 seconds work per month

  • Is this working at all?

    Error message when trying activation.
Customer support links lead to help pages…

    • Mine took about 6 tries before it activated

    • Mine worked first go - it was weird though as when it spat out the email with the license code it says that my email was currently in use and I couldn't get another license.

Nevertheless, downloaded and activated no problems.

  • Doesn't work

    • How not? What part are you getting stuck at? The signing up, activation, downloading or other?

      • Not getting the email :(

        • Maybe check your junk? Or you can open up a free gmail account and use it from there?

        • @pennypincher98: Used two emails. One temporary, one regular. No email on either :(
          Edit: checked junk folder

        • @brokeunistudent: maybe you could try to tweak the below (used) license key? Your license key is: AUD4-W363-PAAA-A9HK-NT27

Other than that I might just recommend you try again, other people said it took a few tries :(

        • @pennypincher98: Thanks man!! Will have a try but kudos for the help!

  • Thanks OP will be a change from Avast free for 6 months

  • FYI 3 Device 12 Months $15 at MSY if you can't be bothered chasing the free subs :)

  • Isn't windows defender just as good as this now? I used nod32 for many years but now I just use windows defender.

    • I think most third party antivirus use Windows virus library in addition to their own, so they should be better by default.

ESET is pretty low resource as a third party. I wouldn't buy it myself, buy I would put it on a pc for a less IT savvy person who is likely to be careless

  • Just tried and says "Licenses are not available at this moment. Please come back later."
