Same price a few other places on staticice.com.au

  • MSY or centercom?

    • Centercom would probably be less hassle with warranties not to mention they might have it on display so you can see it before you buy it

But as seb said, its this price at many other stores

  • Really wish AOC would make their monitors compatible with VESA mounting (you know, like the rest of the world uses). A lot of their screens are great bang for buck, but useless for those of us who use a monitor arm.

    • Yeah it seems stupid. Is there a licence fee they would have to pay or something?

    • I've got two AOC monitors at home mounted onto a dual monitor stand. At least some of them are compatible.

  • I have this monitor and love it, except there are a few things to note particularly for gamers.

Firstly, some models have a LOT of ghosting during fast movement. I personally find mine OK but there are heaps of people that find it unusable particularly for FPS. Secondly, there is a game mode which overclocks the monitor to 75hz via DisplayPort. There is a bit of wobble so if your desk isn't stable it will move about a bit. Colours are great, size is perfect (the sweet spot for me) and everything looks nice at 1440p. Some users report a bit of glare, mine is OK although I'm using it in a dimly lit room.

This is the same price everywhere, looked at this and the Viewsonic equivelant a month or more ago and they were the same price, cheaper with the eBay 20% off at the time

  • I paid 340 during the eBay sales.

Ultimately Im not completely happy with this monitor.

It is great for office work. Plenty of real estate for multiple windows. I have had no issue with the stand being wobbly and over all I thought the build was great.

Most games are fine, but in dark scenes the ghosting is pretty bad. Well lit games are fine.

Probably not the monitors fault but I cannot for the life of me get on top of the screen tearing. I am using it with an nvidia card and nothing helps. Fps caps, vsync, nothing makes a difference.

But overall good for the price although I would pay more for a screen with better ghosting properties if I had my time again.

what are you using to connect to the monitor? HDMI or DVI?

      • Using display port and 75hz setting

    • I cannot for the life of me get on top of the screen tearing

Make sure your in 60Hz mode (or higher if monitor supports it) in Display Properties -> Advanced -> List All Modes and choosing 32bit colour at your highest refresh rate available. Should be at least 60hz.

If you're using HDMI you may be limited to 50Hz, solution is use Displayport.

    Good Marketing No?

    • It has Freesync …

  • Contrast Ratio 3000:1 (Typical) 80M:1(DCR)
    Panel Type TN

That's garbage, I'm assuming it's much lower contrast. If it isn't than it must be VA or PLS rather than TN panel.
