Why are JB and EB doing this deal on the new gold and silver editions? I can't imagine there's much of a market for them?
What happened to all the good PS4 bundles?? It seems like it's been months. I'm still awaiting for another sub $300 for the slim 500GB with x2 controllers.

Nintendo Switch attract so much popularity during April - May, that is the main reason why Sony has those good deals.
As you can see, those deals are no more in June,
what is more, after 2017 E3, as XBOX X is such an big disappoinment, Sony becomes even less willing to do more promotion.
However, if you want to wait, some deals may still come around late this year in traditional sale season.

@Suspect420: It looks like Switch is getting popular again due to more games are published, but it is hard to say how Sony will respond.
@lklk901: The Switch didn't cease doing well. Between the launch, MK8 and Splatoon it's had fantastic momentum.
@Smigit: It is doing great so far, I just read a news this morning, saying people in Japan has to participate in a draw to buy Switch and the chance is like 15%.
Xbox one x is a big disappointment? Err fanboys… it is a native 4K console way cheaper than a comparable pc, what exactly did you expect?
why not buying this from Amazon US? it is like 270USD? anyone clarify me?
Not covered by Australia's better consumer protection laws in case anything goes wrong with device..you'd literally have to send it back to Amazon if something went wrong with it…they do look really great until you fish around at different deals andrealise you're only saving at most about $50 or so (depending on postage) and you'd lose that in postage sending it back etc…for example look at the Amazon page for the Uncharted 4 edition PS4; looks good and is cheaper than here but lots of customers saying it's a faulty model; in the US that'd be free to send back to Amazon but not for us.
So the OP does not think this is a good deal? and questions the deal but then posts it anyway
Get the version of this from EB Games Ebay site with that discount code (link is also on OzBargain)…personally I think this bundle is slightly better because having an extra controller is only useful in certain circumstances..

..if you don't want to specifically play split screen/co-op games or be faffing about selling the second controller to make it so the PS4 costs you about $350 then with the three games costing around $50 each (second hand) this PS4 works out to about $350

Now, with the popularity of switch fades away and disappointed XBOX X publish, there is little reason to keep bring out good deals.
