For those interstate it's $127 at MSY so not much of a bargain IMO, only $2 less or 1.5% off MSY's price.
WOW a whole $2.05 less than CentreCom… What a bargain…
Australia Post / Courier $19.99 to nsw

I just checked SHIPPING for 3000 and it is $19.99
Nothing exciting to me!
For future computer hardware deals I'd say price should be below 90% of the lowest price on staticice, unless it is the lowest staticice price in that case 10% cheaper than the next cheapest price on staticice (ie 10% off) otherwise you should just buy it from the cheapest place on staticice and support the store that consistantly gives low prices without sales.
Remember 10% lower than the next cheapest otherwise OB will just be inundated by adverts for places that sell only a couple of dollars cheaper than the stores that consistantly offer prices that low.
In this case 2TB should not be advertised on OB until they're below $115.Now how do you propose this is implemented because i am with you on that one!
We neg the deal until it gets unpublished. LOL. Nah, that's mean.
Considering OzBargainers are more trigger happy on the Neg button….
But in all seriousness, it's a perfectly good reason on how to use the neg button. We're showing that the "deal" is not a deal, and is not worth making a hype for it.
Otherwise I'd say consider it to be spam/inappropriate, and report it as such? Let's see what a mod has to say about this.
Meh, Netplus is $126 with $5 shipping in Perth. Better deal than this one for those in WA.
In my opinion it's pretty hard to advertise Computer components and peripherals as "Bargains" so to say, given the competitive nature of companies such as MSY. Refering to my Logitech x-530 Bargain (one of the previous "Bargains"), i was in the market to buy a cheap pair for a while and at the time, MSY had it for $62. Only soon after Centrecom's publication of $59 their catalogue did MSY bring their price to a more competitive level ($60). (Damn them and their daily fluctuating prices).
But surely the whole idea is to BE competitive, isn't it?
People here use MSY as a benchmark because they have the (almost, except for occasional OZbargain) best prices overall on popular IT products. That is the way it is, and MSY are expanding nicely so there still must be profit in it, eh?
Hell - if MSY sell it every day for $127, then it's not really a bargain when some other company makes a big song and dance about an price of "Regular Price: $152.95 Special Price: $124.95" on a "first-come-first-served", "limited stock", "2 days only" special deal, and then rip people off with an extra $20 for postage that costs them under $10.
Given that there is a $10 P&H premium in there, the $125 deal is actually the same as paying $135 from a vendor who doesn't rip off clients with P&H. So, considering that… the special price is NOT a bargain at all, is it?
$127 from MSY, just saying for reference.
