  • But the video is for a 15 feet x 15 feet (4.57m) shelter. Not the same?

  • Hi 8anddrank, the video is of me setting one up, it's the Australian Model at 4.2m x 4.2m. All are brand new and purchased through Coleman Australia
with the applicable Coleman warranty. The 15x15 you mention may be a USA model. Regards, Roger

    • Thanks for confirming. I was sure the title of the video said 15 feet x 15 feet. Strangely your video itself says near the end it is 3.6m by 3.6m. Hence the confusion.

  • Thanks for picking that up, the local Coleman Rep here in Melbourne took the video of me and added the sound & text. Size is definitely 4.2m x 4.2m. All the best, Roger

In my opinion I would not recommend this product. I used in once on a holiday and it would not stay up correctly. I brought the product back to Roger (if its the same person in Clayton?) and his solution was to give me corner guy ropes to help it… I tried the double guy ropes but itwas no use by which time the warranty has now ran out…

  • Hi ppierce, thank you for your feedback. I personally have sold around 400-500 of these over the past 5 years, and I'm sure other Coleman retailers have sold a lot as well. I can only give my personal opinion and these shelters have been great, I can remember only about 3 or 4 issues over the past 5 years which is incredibly low, also I have received heaps of good feedback & stories from my regular customers. I have used one quite a bit myself and it's been great, also I know the Coleman Rep (here in Melbourne) uses one regularly together with his Montana 12 and he's also a fan. I don't work for Coleman, I'm a small independent retailer, and wanted to give you my personal experience on selling these. Regards, Roger

  • I would not recommend this, mine fell apart second use. Absolute junk. See how the frame is on the outside? The tent is joined to it by loops which are pulled on for tension, and unfortunately are really weak at the seams and then fray so you can't sew them back. The A shape means water and sun come in everywhere except about 1m2 in the centre. And the sun walls are absolutely hopeless because they leave a gap at the top and create additional weak spots which tear the fabric where they clip on. Plus the frame started to stick and not slide open easily. I tried to macguiver it back together on my last camping trip but without tension it would just collapse and in the end had to throw it in the bin, it was beyond repair. This was seriously second use in showers and very gentle inland breeze. It is very easy to put up, I can do it myself, and it fits the back seat of a barina.. was very disappointed in the quality. I am on the lookout for a new shelter though if anyone can recommend one?
