  • Good price….

    • Very berry good …

  • Does it come with GST?

    • +1

That seem to be the case as they provide on request an invoice for GST claims or whatever.
      So I'll say YES!

  • I added C5OZ, if you messaged them and convinced them to put it in the Toys&Hobbies category you could get it even cheaper with "COZZIE", it's worth messaging them.

    • Sorry, driving on L plates …
      Whom to message? eBay? SpecialBuysW?
      Thank you

      • +1

Just message special buys and say if they could please list in that category to take advantage of the COZZIE coupon and that they will still receive the same price :) they should comply if they're online now.

        • +1

          Got it now!

          Will try.

        • @LFO:

Let us know when they change it so people can save more :)

        • @LFO:
          How did you go?

        • @tommyc:

They are looking into it …

        • @LFO:

I chucked them a message as well so they should be cool with it soon.

        • @doweyy: dam it - I cant even get the c5oz code too work

        • @iamnewtothis:

I think the C5OZ code has a 3 use limit so maybe you've exhausted that limit on your account?

        • +4

          @LFO: $521.77 using 10% off with code COZZIE, 5 only: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/272792794437

        • @Thrift:

Yep you found it, they applied the category to the rest of their listings as well for the drones for anyone who wanted any of the others.

        • @doweyy:

          Confirming that.
Sorry I have been a bit slow updating.

And yes, there are new COZZIEr listings now. 10% galore!

  • No special on the mavic pro :(

  • Yes, very good price, though this shoul;d be the normal really. It came out way overpriced.

    • I undestand it is 30% off DJI RRP prices.
      As good as it gets???

  • noooo.. so tempting.. :(

  • Do they do flymore?

    • +2

yes … but they costmore ;-)

  • +1

This doesn't come with the controller does it? Looks like it would suck without one.

    • Not really.
Needs hands gestures or a smartphone.
Of course, with the remote controller is better. But it is almost ~$250 by itself.

      • No transmitter = limited to wifi connection to smartphone which is only useful for short range (50m or so apparently).

        • Yes.
It is for a very particular use. And considering the line-of-sight flight restriction it is not that bad.

  • Might get one as a spare when my fly more eventually fly's away

  • -3

Pretty crap drone compared to the mavic. But affordable

    • I don't know why you are getting downvoted, this seem more like the consumer model

      • -2

        Butt hurt ozbargainers

        • Except, that, you know - basically every review online says it's pretty decent - and certainly not crap compared to the Mavic.

    • Shouldn't be compared to Mavic.

      Different drones for different purposes.

    • Different price tag & specs too. Whaddaya expect?

  • wonder why they are selling it so cheap?

  • Out of stock. Hopefully they relist in the other category
(And hopefully the fly more combo)

  • for those looking to get the Mavic or Spark FM combo is available via this deal at Basicvalue

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/320613

  • OUT OF STOCK. Will they restock it? Have a MAVIC but really like the cool gesture feature.

    • I wouldnt bother the gesture feautures dont work super well save your money and buy a mavic 2 in a few months time as it will likely have the gewsture features built in. Ive tried them both and the spakr while fun and cute just dosent compare the power and stablity of the mavic

  • Buy DJI on your own risk:
[US Army halts use of Chinese-made DJI Technology Co drones over cyber concerns] (http://www.smh.com.au/world/us-army-halts-use-of-chinesemade…)

    • It's made in China. Has to be evil..

    • +1

Probably got a lot more to do with DJI GO 4 app phoning home, and storing all your flight details on DJIs servers. Not something you'd want a foreign entity to have. Root exploits can be patched in firmware updates, but drone phoning home, not so much, unless you run your device with a firewall and hack the APK.

    • +1

Buy DJI on your own risk:

Just like everything else when it comes to cyber security on devices. Doesn't matter if it's DJI, Google, Apple or anyone else, every electronic device comes with a degree of cyber risk.

A hacked drone could potentially cause serious injury but the recent articles about the US Army stopping the use of DJI drones have been somewhat overblown and sensationalised by the media.

I really wonder why the US Army used DJI drones in the first place as I doubt they ever met military level cyber security specifications.

just curious what so you guys use these drones for?

    • +1

      Drone warfare

    • I've been curious too and looked into it. A few interesting uses include:

      • Photography and video of weddings and other events
      • Aerial photography and video of real estate for marketing purposes
      • Aerial surveying and mapping for use with a Geographic Information System (GIS)
      • Smuggling drugs into prisons or aerial lookout

Getting the remote pilot licence from CASA is probably worthwhile if you want to do most of the above.

    • +1

Mostly leisurely FPV flying, I rarely record anything, just admire the scenery from up above.

  • Way to small for the price people love big drones if you know what I mean.

Tomtop have it for 469USD delivered. Cash rewards have 7.5% rebate so would bring it down to $547 which is comparable to this deal. Only downside is non AU stock and slower delivery.

  • Hi guys, I purchased one and no longer want it.
If anybody wants it, message me and we'll work it out.
    Pick is from Melbourne.

    • Minister of finance didn't approve the purchase ?

      • Haha, nah. I want the fly more kit.

        • Can't PM you, keen!

        • @Coxy777: hi, how do I allow for PM. Or how can we get in contact.

        • @moe0050: Go to my account, messages and click the box for allow other members to contact me. Alternatively send me a message!

        • @Coxy777: I sent you a message! I also removed the restriction.

    • Has been sold.
