  • Your links aren't for Mavic?

    • sorry, updated

      • Cheers. Still too much for Mavic imo and don't think it's local stock

I bought a Mavic off them last week and can confirm it is coming from Melbourne.

I just asked for Aus stock in the notes when I bought it.

          Eagerly tracking it through AusPost.

        • @S bastian: cool, did you go for the care refresh? also were you tossing up between the spark & mavic?

        • @impoze: Was that part of the eBay deal? I've seen it, but need to do my research to work out if I think it's worth it. Do you have any thoughts or knowledge?

Nah, was always going to get a Mavic, just waiting for the right price.
Literally can't stop checking the post tracking, can't wait!

        • +1

@S bastian: no, not part of the deal but something you buy afterwards direct from DJI. Covers damage and a few other things up to 2 replacements a year

          http://store.dji.com/product/dji-care-refresh-mavic-pro?site…

        • @S bastian: Did you get a tax invoice for Aus stock?

        • @gadget: No, just the PayPal email.

          My Mavic is arriving today.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/132260507568

Shopping square Australia's eBay page have it listed at $1799 (minus 20% "PLAYER" promo code) brings it to $1439.20

    Plus 1.3% eBay cash rewards

    • oo nice price.. is that local stock?

      • I believe it's an Aus store but coming from HK

        • What does this mean for warranty claims? Send it back to the AU store for them to ship it to HK for whatever it needs?

        • @mit: I asked the store and this is their reply:

"If buyer meet problems after using this drone, just contact us directly, we will contact Au DJI staff, then Au DJI staff will contact buyer and solve buyer problems."

They are very responsive on their customer service front

        • @impoze: Ok Great. Thanks.

    • thank you the 20% off code worked for fly more combo

    • They have now increased their price… i emailed them and they can't guarantee you won't be stung with import duties since it's coming from HKG

      • Looks like the same price to me?

        • it was $1799 at shopping square, now back up to $1999 without any 20% "Player" code.

This deal is still active using "Cozzie"

I received my Mavic yesterday in two days from ordering, came from Melbourne and it is AU stock with the (AU) labels on the sealed boxes

        • @impoze: oh sorry, thought we referring to the spark.

  • selling AU stock drones so they are valid for DJI Care Refresh insurance

Aren't all new drones valid for refresh insurance?

    • i'm not too sure but I heard about different regions for the care refresh.

      • -1

        STILL NOT WORKIN THAT CODE???

        • oops autocorrect,

          "COZZIE" is the code

        • Lowercase is fine thanks.

Ordered a Spark Fly more combo from basicvalue last week, can confirm was shipped from Melbourne warehouse and is AU stock, no tax invoice/GST.

    • Interesting - the ebay listing says it ships from HK

Wondering if we'll still get local (Aus) support for this (e.g. if we have an issue where are returns sent, etc)?

      • I have asked about this as they have multiple listings but all come from Melbourne warehouse if buyer is in Aus.

    • Does anyone know if I can claim warranty direct from dji Aus? Ppl say that it's shipped from melb, but does that mean that it comes from a local authorised reseller or has it been grey imported to melb then sent out locally?

Code Cookie isn't working for me

Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

    • +4

      what COOKIE???? it's COZZIE ffs!

      • Whoops that was dumb, think I need a coffee

        • +1

lel. I think you need a cozzie.

        • +3

          @mit: covfefe

  • Thanks! Been holding off on a spark for a while, can't resist at that price!

  • I feel like the paypal conversion fee kills this deal a lot.

    • Pay in USD with one of the no foreign fee CCs

      • How so? Paypal seems to auto convert to AUD. Is there a way to keep it in USD?

        • +2

Before submitting payment you can click on the currency conversion and select to keep it in USD.

        • @unco: oh sweet, thanks!

        • @unco: Sorry what do you mean? Where do you select USD, mine keeps showing Paypal changing it to a shitty 0.76 EX rate

        • @slislsilsi: I don't have a screenshot myself but it's similar to this. I always make sure to check it before submitting payment.

          http://thethinkbox.bossmediamasters.com/wp-content/uploads/2…

        • @unco: Mmm I have the same issue as this guy except his solution was fixed but Paypal seems to have changed their interface … you can't change settings anymore: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Payments/How-to-ch…

Adding to my original comment, I went to Profile > Payments > My Preapproved Payments > Set Available Funding Sources > Conversion Options in Paypal settings. However, the overall outcome was that when submitting payment on eBay, Paypal actually wouldn't let me pay until I chose their selected exchange rate. What a way to rob people of money…

  • I'm having trouble. Discount code says "This code can't be applied to your order."
I'm trying to enter it on the checkout page in the box that says 'add vouchers'. Am I doing it right?

    • +1

did you add the listing linked in the OP?
make sure you select the one listed under toys & hobbies

if it was, try adding this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DJI-Phantom-4-Pro-Plus-w-1-inch-2…
then add the code, then remove it from your cart

      • Thanks for the hint. Added the phantom with the mavic purchase, applied the code wish worked, then Removed the phantom.

  • Just bought a Spark. Thank you for posting the deal.

  • Thank OP. Just bought Spark. Paypal has made it difficult to find the currency conversion option very difficult. Anyway paid through Citi card and was charged 845 only. Not sure if there will be any int'l transaction fee.

  • +1

Cheers got the Spark Fly More. Looks amazing. Accepted my offer for $740USD as well :)

  • If anyone is interested, they are also selling the Inspire 1 RAW now

  • Worth jumping on this deal compared to buying from a local store (apart from price wise)? More in terms of warranty should there be any issues?

    • Price is the big one here, no GST either but it's local AU stock shipped from Melbourne.

I had no issues registering for care refresh

      • Thanks. Care refresh registration is done on the dji website?

        • Yeah or in the app.
You just enter the serial if via website, through app it detects itself.

Just make sure to go through Aus site

  • Hey guys,

Tried applying the discount code cozzie at checkout but says “this code can't be applied to some of your items"? Can someone help me please

  • Sorry I'm confused, is the Spark link AU melbourne stock really? It says Hong Kong on the listing? Any idea the real delivery time. I need it by the 24th for a trip overseas.

    • +1

yeah, my Mavic came in 2 days.

      • Thanks, also it mentions the make an offer, can you make an offer and then apply the coupon?

        • yeah you can

    • Mine gets in tomorrow to Perth from Melbourne, under a week delivery.

  • Ordered mine 2 days ago. Will be arriving next week. Au stock and shipping from melbourne.

  • I got mine and was faulty. Didnt get proper help from seller for refund or exchange so had to get ebay involve and finally got refund.
