All Shirts $49.95 + Delivery (Free Shipping over $120) @ TM Lewin

221

Hi all.
First post. Let me know if anything incorrect.
I logged into Facebook for the first time in months today and saw a link for all TM Lewin shirts for $49.95 plus shipping. (Free delivery for orders over $120).
This includes all the excellent non-iron shirts which have a RRP of $99.95, so $49.95 seems like a good deal to me.
For some reason the TM Lewin Aussie website does not show this deal when accessed directly or via google search etc.. Seem to need to access via Facebook or the link I've provided.

  • Often there are $40/shirt deals

    • Yeah but I don't think it is every shirt on the site though, just a selection. Happy to be proven wrong though.

  • It says free delivery (no $120 minimum) when I click the link.

    • Yep, but when you add an item to your cart and check the delivery cost it comes up with the costs ($10 under $120) and free over $120.

      • +1

Nah, mine says -$10 when checking out.

      • I haven't tried to checkout and yet, but shows $10 shipping then a $10 discount for less than $120 for me.

        • OK cool. I bought 5 today so wasn't sure if it was free under $120.

        • sorry not a real checking out, just a dummy check out shows the discount applied.

Not the best deal they've come up with, but I need me some shirts …

  • How well do their 'non iron' shirts perform? What do I have to do to the shirt so I don't have to iron it, just hang it up to dry?

    • +1

I have a week's worth of non-iron shirts. Love them, you don't have to do anything other than washing.

    • +1

They are great. Just hang them to dry after washing and that's it.

    • +1

I still iron mine, but they are easier to iron. But I am lazy and use the dryer for all clothes.

      • That's not lazy, since you are ironing them. I'm lazier - I just hang them on a hanger straight from the wash; no need to iron.

    • They work really well.

    • Thanks for the reply guys. I think I might try a couple, the missus is always complaining about ironing my shirts

    $30 off $240 order with code: BARMAR17

    • Don't think there is any way to add a coupon to this deal?

      • Not sure, sorry. Yesterday I used the code in conjunction with free shipping over $120 and "from $55/shirt when you buy 4 or more" (standard promo on aus website) to get 5 shirts for $245 delivered. IE $49 per shirt.

        • +1

Have now tried on my laptop, and can get it to work with a bit of mucking around. Need to go to normal TM site first, add at least $240 of stuff, apply coupon, then go to above link, add at least $240 worth of shirts, remove other items, checkout.

Should then be 5 shirts for $219.75, or ~$44 each. And don't forget Cashrewards for 4% cashback, so potentially ~$42.20 per shirt (although the code is not on the CR site, so may not get it).

Might also note TM have cancelled orders when people have combined offers before, so caveat emptor.

  • Are the sizes similar to Van Heusen? For example, is "Regular Fit" comparable to VH "Classic Fit"?

    • Unsure. They have a measuring guide on their site though so if you have a tape measure or maybe even a ruler give that a go. I found it to be accurate.

    • From my experience,

Normal slim fit = Fitted TM Lewin
Euro fit = Super Fitted TM Lewin

Nice. I was looking a black shirt anyway. (Going to a funeral)

$50 for a shirt is not a bargain imo. I own plenty of TM shirts & have always paid in $30s. $40 as my absolute max.

    • +1

But when was the last time you could get all shirts for $40?

      • +1

Agree. TM seem to have re-positioned themselves in terms of RRP and more importantly discounts. The occasional codes that have been posted for them recently seem to have only worked for the OP and then stopped working.

The quality and fit (for me anyway) is just so much better than other brands, so $50 is not a bad price.

      • True. This is a first for all shirts to be up for consideration on sale that I can remember.
Their previous sales have usually covered a fairly broad selection of shirts though. I like TM, I wear TM…but to say they are a 'bargain' at this price is stretching it imo.

It is a very valid bargain as what are your alternatives if you are needing new shirts now but to pay full price? it is not their cheapest/best deal ever but it is still a good saving if you can't wait.

        • +1

@piggyfund: Well Charles Tyrwhitt is a cheaper alternative, but I prefer TM Lewin.

        • -2

          @piggyfund:

There are plenty of alternatives & like mentioned, Charles Tyrwhitt are of equal quality & cheaper.
I have never paid anywhere near $50 for a TM shirt. Then look up the definition of 'bargain'. I think people just like to up tick some deals on this site because of the brand & forget about the price. 100% no bargain.
