    devilish prices!

  • Pick up only, estimated 13th of August. Didn't expect that! Still…hard deal to pass up

  • Anyone seen some good Splatoon prices?

    • Just that pricing error from last week, but once it corrected it was still cheap, I think $62

Mine arrived yesterday! Cracking price error!

I'm just saying it's really probably a 5 out of 10 because it's a big blank open world with probably 10 ACTUAL story missions, a bunch of side shit, and a ridiculous price tag.

      97% aggregate score.

      Worst review ever

It's strange because this is how I've always felt about open world games for the most part - GTA, Witcher 3, Skyrim and the like - and yet never has this particular criticism been so prominent as it has with Zelda it seems.

Still, I think more games could learn from this philosophy: "it's not hard to do everything perfect when you only do 5 things"
Open world games have so much fat and dispensable systems - most don't even adhere to the core gameplay. I wish they'd reel in their focus before boasting world twice as big as their predecessor. I wish they'd find ways to re-contextualize the fundamentals a bit more.

I've been driving to designated routes and getting into shootouts for over a decade in GTA by now. 3 characters, 5 characters, 10, aren't going to create a paradigm shift for instance.

Tbh, i would have preferred if the world was a lot smaller. I explored literally every single area in the game and was constantly disappointed when there was nothing there. That said the game was amazing and super fun though.

        • That's fair enough. I hope this game births more debate about open world design. For instance, those two story buildings and skyscrapers littering most worlds are just as much empty space as open fields, if not more so due to them being inaccessible and barring your route. We have an aversion to criticizing them I guess because of provided atmosphere and just how commonplace they are but there's room for improvement.

Feels when you point out a genuine fault in something, but even then still say it's awesome and you enjoy it, but the fanboys can't handle and neg.

It's the tiny penis element in gaming that hate women and Nintendo. Yet they pre-order COD 87 because "they're setting it WW2 for the 36th time".

        • And the terrifiying possibility that someone else may know the map better than them!

Honestly not even sure what you're having a go at, but I guess you're probably stringing your words together pretty well for a 4 year old so kudos.

I'll just be sitting here, enjoying the shit out of my Nintendo, with my partner, while skipping over COD 87 because COD 2007 is already sitting there. I do have a tiny penis though, you got me there.

    • $66 is a ridiculous price tag for what will probably be game of the year? What planet are you on?

I liked the open world of this game much more than things like fallout and GTA which I couldn't really get into
