      Imagine it was mounted with a double sided tape. One day you put an Brand new iPad 10.5 inch on it while you were trying to follow a recipe during cooking and BANG…. down it goes into the sink of water………… does the warranty cover the iPad?? lol

        Aren't those tiny 3M/scotch/command tape strips meant to hold like at least 10kg frames or something?

        This unit can only hold up to 1.4kg, add the weight of itself of probably 500g, add maybe the added weight of it at full extension…. prob still can be done with tape!

          Depends on a) the angle of the weight, b) the porousness of the surface/s.
          I've had a heavy frame held on with no probs on one wall, yet a lightweight canvas falling off another.

    Scanned at $35, matched for $10.

    BTW, when they say fits all tablets 7" - 12", I think they actually mean fits all iPads..

    Clamp is roughly 150mm to 210mm, getting a widescreen 8" (in this case a Chuwi Hi8) to fit is a struggle.
