I saw this advertised on Channel 10 earlier this evening. They have the 1TB WD Elements HDD on sale this weekend at Harvey Norman for $88. My local store is Warrawong, NSW but the ad also features Nowra and a couple of other stores, so this should be statewide and (hopefully) country-wide.
There's no mention of it on their site but it was on TV during The Simpsons tonight (30th Sep @ 6:00-6:30pm). :)

Please only put when it's 2.5hdd with this price.

I guess you have to wait for at least an year for a 1TB 2.5 HDD less than $100 AUD

I wish they would do the WD 1.5tb again for $98 I missed a few weeks back. Good thing is if you can get the print advert or web site printout then just pop over to officeworks. These notmally sell for $95 @ OW then get a %5 price match discount.
I have a WD Elements 500GB and it's the best external HD i've had (have 4 others).
No fan, but nice cool metal body.
Sleeps when not activated.
My 500GB WD drive is vert quiet while seeking too (not necessarily the case for the 1TB).

Ditto, I've got the 2tb & I couldn't be happier with it! It actually wakes & spins up faster than my internal SeaCrate 1tb 7200.11 drives! ;)

Bought one of these this morning (10/10/2010) at Harvey Norman, Indooroopilly, Brisbane. They still had a pile of them left. If you get one, just make sure they charge the $88 discounted price at the checkout - It rang up as $94.
