Lubegard 19610 Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx 2oz $19.99 + $7.40 Postage from eBay chemistwholesale

24

After spending countless dollars chasing a shudder in my car…

I changed the plugs, leads, control arms, upper and lower ball joints, shock absorbers, springs, fuel filter, injectors., trail shaft.and a few other things I finally found a cure…

I found out it was a auto transmission shudder

A torque converter shudder is a brief shake or shudder in the vehicle when internal clutches apply inside the torque converter. They refer to this application of clutches as "lock-up." Often this problem is mis-diagnosed and sometimes they needlessly rebuild transmissions as a result

I was quoted upwards of $2000 to replace the torque converter and service..

Lubegard 19610 Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx, 2 oz.
The original transmission shudder fix

  • A concentrated friction modifier formulated specifically for instantly eliminating torque converter lock-up shudder
  • Provides four times less wear than regular ATF
  • For use in any automatic transmission fluid (not for use in Ford Type F or CVT applications)
  • Voted top product by transmission professionals

and saves you thousands….quite a lot of transmission places are using this and charging you thousands of dollars..

I've tried to send these as letter post and Australia post has sent them back, have to send parcel post at $7.40, its a bloody rip off…sorry about that

    Lubeguard for trannies, done deal.

  • +14

No idea what this is but the title sure makes it sound like something very different lol

    • +3

When I saw the thumbnail image I became sexually aroused.

      • +3

i still don't really know what it is but why is this product for cars sold at a chemist? still trying to work out if this is fake bargain lol

        • +7

i still don't really know what it is

I think it's some sort of lubrication for transsexuals.

    • +2

      It's a trap!

  • +2

hehe, yes, i didn't have the nerve to tell my mum i was using a lube guard for trannies…and it works,im cured

  • +1

    where is the bargain?

"deal" belongs in forum - and welcome to 10 years ago

  • Shouldn't the title show price and vendor?

  • +2

    Cheaper here: https://goo.gl/bmPazu

    • yes but that will take anywhere from a week to 3 weeks to get here, i traied that route

      • +3

you tried that route? took too long to come?

        • +2

You should probably get a job writing script for the Benny Hill show, i heard they are still hiring…but they will be playing the Benny Hill theme song backwards because he is decomposing

        • +1

@poohah: Given the title of this post - probably more Kenny Everett than Benny Hill.

  • +1

No deal. Cheaper elsewhere. This is just another ozbargain meme bargain.

    • +1

It may be cheaper elsewhere in the world but this is in Australia and has saved loads of people spending big bucks on a transmission repair

      • +1

        saved loads

Isn't the point to spend loads?

  • -6

    What a horrible brand name.

Trnny is a slur. It's like calling someone a fggot or a n*gger.

Sure it's about cars, but still a horrible brand name.

    • +9

Tranny is an industry term for transmission…

Maybe you shouldn't leave the house or turn on the television…Socrates once wrote the democratic society would turn on itself as it would be too politically correct

      • +8

Tranny is an industry term for transmission

Tranny is also slang for transistor radio.

As in, I've just turned on a tranny.

        • +1

It all depends which industry you are in, Automotive, Sex or if you were born in the 1920's

  • Ok deal is back on, you can buy this cheaper elsewhere outside of Australia but this product is in Australia and posted out quickly and has already saved lots of people Thousands, so there is yourr saving, i tried to buy from amazon and it would take 2 weeks to arrive or an arm and a leg to get it in a week

  • +2

this got reinstated after being unpublished?

It magically somehow meets the requirements for an eBay deal?

    not top rated seller
    No ABN
    No online store domain

not even a deal - just their everyday normal price

    • Spend a lot of time lately making sure I'm not getting ripped off taking up a "deal" here.

Even been caught out once on Xbox Gold membership.

    • For clarification, the OP provided the ABN (see grey block below description) and thus fulfills the deal posting requirements.

  • Hexa, if you use it it will save paying for a new torque converter, there's your saving…

Shouldn't you be volunteering in Haiti rather than policing Ozbargain deals

  • +2

You've written the description like you're a customer but you come across as the seller. Can you clarify your affiliation a bit? It seems intentionally misleading

    • +1

I had the problem, used it, it worked and now I'm selling it

  • +2

Yeah, including Cashback it's A$14.81 shipped from Amazon so really not competitive. Gets good reviews

I've used this from Liquid Mloy and it seems to do what it says on the tin (tube). Bit more expensive ($24.79 currently online).

    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Liqui-Moly-Auto-Tra…

    • The advantage is its in Australia as opposed to coming from overseas

      • +2

Well sure but I find stuff from Amazon comes pretty much as quick as Aust Post (where I am) and I could wait for something like that. I certainly could wait a few more days for that much of a saving, but there are people that will pay heaps more to buy something from Australia (the mugs) (sorry) :-)

        • -2

$27 bucks isn't heaps when the alternative is $2000 plus for a torque converter…

This product is for people who own cars usually over 10 years old and using them for strenuous things, typically 4 wheel drives..
Not really for Smug faced Skoda drivers who are sure the rest of Australia know they won car of the year from someone on the take from an obscure magazine..

        • @poohah:
So this does not work of shuddering Skoda transmissions?

        • @poohah: You're right, but $15 is a lot better than $27.

You're also right about car of the year awards. They're all to be taken with a huge bag of salt given how non critical Australian car mags etc. are. However, Skoda's are very good cars. I have one. :-)

I would imagine you would not use these types of goops in DSG type gearboxes. I put the Liqui Moly in a 16 year old Saab 95 Aero and it seemed to make shifts even smoother. They were pretty good anyway as I'd changed to fully synthetic fluid.

Also I think you need to change your 'associated' to a 'rep'.

        • @pket:

The reality is most automatic transmissions in cars post 2004 do not have a funnel to add Automatic transmission fluid into the car, they have a bolt hole on the tranny that can usually only be accessed from underneath the car making it hard for punters and more of a mechanics job, in saying that it will work if you can access the fluid to add it..

        • @wfdTamar:

I have some good oil for the Skoda..ill chuck it up in a few weeks when i sort out the postage..

        • @poohah:

This is a classic, minus three votes and I picked the guy as a Skoda driver, i should get a Oz bargain award for that one…anyway I have achieved what i set out to do today…publicise the product…and thanks for all of the inane comments of the keyboard warriors…it was bloody tedious replying to them all..hehe

        • +1

Oh, I don't think that's all you accomplished.

        • @wfdTamar:

          Yes sales as well

        • @poohah: None of the purchasers spared 0.38 seconds to plus-vote.

        • @PJC:

The profile of an Ozbargainer is a person in a very mundane position in usually a safe boring job, typically in finance who is so bored all they do is scour the internet for deals… and virtually has no life outside of trying to get a memory card with the most amount of data or the latest course from Udemy for free or dare i say it, upvoting a free condom…

Like Nick Kyrgios as long as you are talking and creating controversy then its a win..its when you don't talk or react then its dead in the water..

And this was a winner…by the way that took 47 seconds

        • @poohah: Thank you for letting me read that. Negging because lower prices elsewhere:-

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232389219977
          $19.99 + $7.40 Postage = $27.39
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dr-Tranny-Lube-Automatic-Transmis…
          $13.17 + $10.01 Royal Mail International Standard = $23.18 … 15% cheaper.

        • @PJC:

You can buy it on amazon for under 10 bucks but its in America…and your example is in the Uk…if your balls were on fire would you ask for a Fireman from the Uk or Us to fly over and put them out…I think not…you will definitely find cheaper outside of Australia…I have stated that at least 3 times…by the way, I just saw a memory card with 32 gig for $2, unfortunately it was in Timbuktu

  • +1

'I changed the plugs, leads, control arms, upper and lower ball joints, shock absorbers, springs, fuel filter, injectors., trail shaft.and a few other things I finally found a cure…'

Bullshit plain and simple. Classic snake oil sales pitch.
    Total nonsense.

    Neg due to implausible claims

    • One of the keys to happiness is to never make assumptions…

And King Tightarse you have shown yourself to not only be ill advised but just plain stupid in your claims..

      Negging before checking your facts..

Classic Ozbargain mentality, you may want to check the 490 reviews on amazon… and elsewhere throughout the internet

      https://www.amazon.com/Lubegard-19610-Tranny-Instant-Shudder…

The opinion of many combined is worth more than one bonehead….

      • +2

        Sure, I'll happily bite.
So you were searching for an unknown shudder in you car, right? So you changed the plugs and leads, that didn't work and apparently you can't diagnose and engine shudder from any other part of the car, so you just up and spontaneously changed half the front end, then you changed the actual suspension springs and eventually in an explosion of money is no object/logic does not matter, lets change a shit load of other unlikely components then moved on to the "trail shaft".
Really mate reeeeeeeallllly? The trail shaft, you say. Frankly I'm surprised your car has a trail shft, I mean there aren't that many cars that still do. Not the unis, no mention of the unis, just replaced the whole "trail shaft". Mr Bull meet Mr Shit.
Putting it bluntly, anyone with such blind and ignorant mechanical skills would be the absolute last person to listen to for any sort of car advice and especially some auto gearbox wonder juice. I mean hell man. you are just a magnet to expensive car problems. The final bill for all those repars, the mind boggles. It might have been cheaper to buy a new car. This is funnier than Brocky's $480 molecular aligning fuel polarizer. You wouldnt know your mechanical bum from a hole in the ground or…more likely, you are you are a shyster and a bullshitter.. trail shaft really hahahah
Stick that in your trail shaft.

        • When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It's only painful & difficult for others. The same applies when you are stupid.

Calling someone a liar is a big call…you should try it tomorrow walking down the street and see how many blocks you make it instead of behind a keyboard..

I actually bought the car for $500 as a tow car not running with an Injected Gas System which was worth more than the car,I did all those repairs myself so I think I may know my mechanical Bum from a hole…

I will always put new spark plugs and leads in a car…

Suspension I raised anyway for 4wd drive height.

It had a broken engine mount

The car has 2 drive shafts, one in rear and one in front for 4wd…

The whole front end costs $200 and steering is brand new

Aftermarket parts are cheap..Genuine is bloody expensive

5 different mechanics couldn't diagnose the problem, its actually a common problem in many automatic transmissions..

You can read about it here in case you want to call Bullshit and Liar again..

          https://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=57663&…

The car is running amazing for a total cost of $2500 including the purchase price

          Ozbargain keyboard Warriors….

You may want to apologise here for your Liar call but i doubt it.

        • +2

          @poohah:
If you walked into any Australian pub and claimed you did all those repairs but this wonder lubed fixed all your problems, everyone would have a damn good belly laugh at you in real life, just like I did online. But in this very unusual case, it seems you really did do all those repairs as you have shown evidence before your posts here, so I completely withdraw the liar claim.
It sure seemed unlikely especially when you spoke of thousands, possibly over $10,000 dollars of repairs then called a tail shaft a "trail shaft" and then said they were they were all unnecessary thanks to your wonder lube. You came over like a major bullshit artist salesman.
You actually say in your OP:
"After spending countless dollars chasing a shudder in my car…" so the only way to read it is that you spend all that time and money blindly and mechanically illogically doing all that chasing a shudder, when the truth is you were restoring an old car. So the bullshit artist claim stays in place.
You see, it stinks of bullshit when you say it like that and the result is people laughing at you.
So it seems you did most those repairs to restore an old car, not in search as an unknown shudder as your OP reads.
When you mislead people with bullshit or fact twisting you will have problems.
If you are attempting to sell a product and its not the cheapest AND you hang crap on the inhabitants of the forum you are attempting to sell it on you have more problems and finally, there is no wonder product in a bottle that can repair a flogged out transmission. At best you may get a few more ks out of it but the inevitable will happen.

        • Nvm, have a manual tranny.

  • +1

So what kind of car was it with all of those problems?
    Enquiring minds want know…

  • +1

You can buy it on amazon for under 10 bucks but its in America

Thank you, but you didn't provide links so here is an example:-

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232389219977
    $19.99 + $7.40 Postage = $27.39
    https://www.amazon.com/Lubegard-19610-Tranny-Instant-Shudder…
(I've just realised Member Scab provided an alternative link)
    US$5.93 + US$5.77 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Australia = US$11.70 = ~AU$14.77 … 46% cheaper.

    • I think this may be the 5th time I have said, yes it cheaper outside of Australia but we process orders daily internally in this country and it arrives in a few days, I'm pretty sure petrol is cheaper in the states but I still fill up at my local service station..

    • +1

I've just realised Member Scab provided an alternative link

I like it when you call me Member Scab, it makes me sound important.

That or I have an STD.

      • +1

Of course you are important! Tell Nurse you may have an extra biscuit.

      • +1

Member Scab, just created unpleasant images in my head involving scabs on members.

        • Far better to envisage him as important.

  • +1

I think this may be the 5th time I have said, yes it cheaper outside of Australia

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…
    Before posting a bargain
Is this really the best price on the web? Check for the lowest prices.

    • No it is not the cheapest, just the most convenient to fix your cars problem…..you can get it cheaper but you have to wait…I think the whole Amazon catalogue is cheaper than Australia..I'm not going to respond to this question again as its just bloody tedious..

  • +1

The profile of an Ozbargainer is a person … who is so bored all they do is scour the internet for deals…

If you had done that, you would have saved a lot of money. Have I got that right?

  • +2

Mark Twain may be right. I wouldn't purchase a Photography Course from one either. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/46870/50762/lubegard.j…

    • +3

haha.. OzB got sick of being spammed by his photography for noobs offers

at least it isn't mucus pumps this time

      • That was eBay.

        • +2

          @poohah:
hahaha comes to sell, when tested calls everyone "losers"
Good luck with your new business, you are going to need it

        • @King Tightarse:

No not everyone, just some trolls and yourself who made bullshit claims and then backtracked, Kudos to you for being big enough to retract your claim of calling me a liar, I'm not the least concerned about offending trolls, they deserve it, I still can't believe JV king troll himself hasn't joined in, anyway, you are all aware of the product now…job done

        • +3

          @poohah:
Perhaps re-write your OP in a way that doesn't give the wrong impression. You just arent going to sell any product abusing people even if you think they deserve it. You have to be positive when you sell a product but it's really important to be painfully honest and not misrepresent the product. If you make big claims, people will test them which is actually better than quietly not believing you and then not buying. So in some ways, your critics actually help you. You also have to have a kind of iron shirt to criticism and not be tempted to abuse or name call those that test your claims because you just end up looking bad.
          Gotta stay positive (and honest)

  • I will admit, I thought it was snake oil but it works and you will find most transmission companies use this product and charge the consumer for fixing it

  • +1

… you guys are here because obviously you have no social life outside of trolling ozbargain, what a sad existence … https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4891728/redir

We come here for bargains. You did not post one. We found lower prices. What did you expect on a bargains website? Besides quoting Socrates, Mark Twain and Ricky Gervais you postulated …

To quote the person who inserted the price into your title …

"The businesses that want to support OzBargain or don't, is not really my concern. Our focus is mainly on the shoppers. The ones who actually want fun bargains … I don't want to know who actually pays for the advertisements on OzBargain. I don't want to be seen as associating or trying to promote a certain business. We much prefer to be on the shoppers side, trying to work out good deals, trying to build a platform that can help them find the best deals for everyone."
