  • I've used a GMC version of this type of drill and it was pretty awesome.
Having said that even the GMC cost $200ish.. I'm not sure that a drill this size that is normally $85 would be particularly good.

  • Its kind of ironic having the rep say in the title Bargain at $$$ , if this were really a bargain then why , please compare it to something?

    ie bunnings

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take

          apparently….

  • As with all 'cheap' tools, it will last you a few jobs, but don't expect much from it. It could also fail in the middle of a job, and then you have to deal with all the warranty issues, and your project gets put on hold.

    Pay cheap, pay twice.

I don't have any opion on this drill. However, I discovered this website over the weekend and founds some good value stuff. They currently have free shipping (not sure whether that is permanent) so you do get a good real (even comparing to bunnings) for the things they do have.

  • I like the comment on the website; "The SDS chuck have(sic) been designed to withstand the percussive forces that are used".

I'd expect the chuck to be designed to withstand the percussive forces, not be a selling point!
