perfect timing, just ran out of the last deal

    Brilliant!

  • Looks interesting - do these have a roasting date?

    • Thanks guys :) All fresh roasted to order

      • Cheers mate - well I have taken the plunge.

  • Hi guys, have never ordered beans online before. Just wondering are these roasted right before delivery and how long they will stay fresh / make good coffee for. I would probably go through 1x480G bag every 2 weeks.

    Thanks

    • +1

      They roast right before sending.

I average the same, 1 pack every two weeks and I've never had the coffee go stale.

Highly recommend giving it ago, especially for the price.

    • Generally considered fresh for about 4 weeks after roasting. If storing longer some people suggest freezing :)

    • It was my first time ordering from them last time. I ordered 4 bags, we couldn't finish it fast enough. The beans were great from start to finish.

Just ordered 2 bags over the weekend now, arrived today :D

  • I like chocolatey and nutty coffees, but hate fruity flavours. This is like the best and worst of my tastes :S gah!

    • When roasted medium dark for this deal you'll find these coffees more chocolatey malty. The Volcanic has a bit of a twist of Ethiopian but is very popular so not a full on fruity coffee :)

  • possible to get 2x fortitude for $35?

    • Please send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes for the packing team :)

      • Done, please let me know if there are any issues. :)

  • Is it possible to have these grinded before posting? :)

    • I'd like to know too - we have an Aeropress at work but no grinder.

      • Normally not ground for Ozbargain deals and beans will stay fresher for longer but as a once off I'm happy to do it to help out :) Please send funds through Paypal to [email protected] so that notes can be left in Paypal rather than checking out through button where they can't.

If no notes for packing team I can't guarantee it gets's actioned :) Have a great weekend!

  • Newbie here: whats the easiest way to up my coffee game with these beans? From a quck look, looks like im up for a bean grinder and then a aeropress or one of those stove percolators?

    • +1

Hey Jimothy, welcome aboard the coffee train mate ;) Chooo Choo! Yeah love the Aeropress myself for travelling and making myself black coffees. The percolators will give a bit more crema and also a great cost effective method!

Burr grinder ideally to get a consistent grind. You can pick up a cheaper Sunbeam etc. The Breville smart grinders are really good for a cheap domestic grinder that will give accurate results in a decent coffee machine. They cost a bit more $250-$300 but at an entry level price compared to a professional home grinder which start around $450-$500

    • +2

All good OzBs know the Breville Smart Grinder graces these pages on a regular basis. Having had cheaper conical burr grinders, I wish I'd bought this bad boy first. Pair it with a used BES820 or EM6190 (usually around $150-$200 on Gummie) and you're off…

  • Aah, so glad you guys are back! I was getting worried! :-)

    • +1

Thanks :) Sorry for the gap and slightly lower profile than usual, been very busy with roaster conversions and cafe upgrades etc recently. Life can get busy at at the same time sometimes haha

Still about to keep you all caffeinated though! Love you guys!

  • Just sent $35 to your email address and left a note for 2x Jamocha :) Hope it's okay!

    • No probs :) Thanks that's awesome!

  • Whew. Just in time. Only about 4-5 cups left from last order :)

The paypal automatic paying system didn't let me leave a comment (to include a caricature drinking coffee)

    • What a disgrace haha! Don't worry Dave I'll include an animal drinking coffee in your package. We stayed on an amazing organic citrus farm in Byron a few weeks back and they had some Lamas, Bambis and various other animals and coffee plants :)

      • Got it! Legends!

  • when can i expect delivery in sydney if i order now? thanks

    • Hi, closed at 1pm today. There's a slim chance it will go out later today otherwise it would be express shipped Monday which would mean receiving on Tuesday if in an Aus Post next day service area(not rural)

      Have a great weekend :)

I ordered a lot a coffee from Manna Beans.
Yes, was told "roasted to order".
But never had roasting date written on the bag. ;)
When you drink the same coffee again and again you start seeing the difference in freshnes between batches.
My personal impression - the overall quality declined over the last year.
It is still great value for money - most other coffee in the same price range )or higher) I tried was worse. :)
Two Cracks Coffee was a pleasant surprise. But at the end of the day it is more expensive.
I still will be ordering from Manna Beans from time to time. :)

  • Also a customer for years, and although I hadn't really noticed anything as far as a broader decline over the last year my last ordered batch was definitely a bit sub par. Ended up discarding the bottom third of a bag of Fortitude. That said…when's the new deal?? :)

    • Just posting a deal now :) As far as coffee harvests, this year we have actually been using slightly more expensive coffees in our blends as we have been working more directly with the farms and smaller specialty crops, microlots and cup of excellence coffees.

There shouldn't be a decline of quality from our end that I'm aware of but appreciate the feedback as it keeps me on my toes ;) It's certainly been a pretty crazy year and you guys are great!

I have been running decent coffees this year and not choosing to run possible cheaper ones but perhaps not quite as much variance with the Ozbargain deals.

Some coffees ie Ethiopians, Kenyans etc can be a bit more unique and you start to enter the "Love or hate" scenario where some people are not necessarily used to their flavours. I've been trying to keep our Ozbargain offerings more generally accepted across the board with good solid Central and South Americans etc :)

  • I missed out on this deal, do you have another soon? Running out of coffee.

  • Cheers had put through an order.
