Compared to many other NBN deals out there these guys are very well priced :D
Also - you can use your own equipment but it needs to support IPoE (static IP) on VLAN ID 100.
Just remember that there are many factors that dictate the speed.
My line speed at both sites have remained consistent and geographically they are ~50km apart on different POI's.
Some factors to keep in mind;
Technology type FTTN/FTTP etc
The router/modem itself
DNS config - play around with google dns if you like
Router connection method - wireless vs copper (wireless will often give bad results depending on interference and congestion)
Co-existence (bandwidth used to support pstn services)
Line quality
Line distance
POI congestion (BuzzTelco do order more bandwidth for these POI's)
Speedtest server selection - some are just better than others
