I got the 5kg version WM5 years ago. I'm pretty sure mine was made in Turkey (they're in Eurovision so does that count?)
Have to admit, it hasn't skipped a beat. I know people are very particular about their brands and fancy features etc but this just works. I even use Coles cheapest laundry powder ($3.70 for 4kg) and more often that not overload the cr** out of it. It just cleans and 5 years and 2 moves on it's still going strong. Hopefully the made in china version is just as good.
Same here I got the 5kg model from 2011 and it's still going strong until I needed a bigger one.
Take those reviews with a grain of salt.
Although if this washer gets 3.5 stars and ozbargain gets 3.1 stars then it MUST be good right?!
Its a cheap washer mase in china and never worth the $799 list price , want something new and cheap here it is , dont expect 5 years trouble free

Got the WM7 from Appliances Online three months ago and happy with it so far. It's economical, has a good selection of programs and gets the clothes cleaner than the top loader it replaced.
