Thanks all good now
ebay has more deal for this VR 46 watch By TW steel for cheap price. Great watch.
Do you have a link? This is the chronograph model.
https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=YAMAHA+46+watch&_os…
Just search the keyword "YAMAHA 46 watch"
That link doesn't have this watch cheaper.
This is the chronograph model.
I have to admit i didn't know what it meant till recently, but only as there was so much other useful stuff in my brain.
For the big wrist only.
I have another 45mm watch and my wrist is average. It does not look huge. 45mm is pretty standard for men's watches.
45mm is not standard. For example, the vast majority of dress watches are under 40mm. I can rattle the names off all day - whether it be a Seiko SARB, Citizen Eco-Drive, Grand Seiko, Rolex Datejust, etc. Dive watches are often larger to accommodate depth ratings and bezels and often come in around 43mm like Sinn U series, Seiko Marine Master, Steinhart Ocean 1, Rolex DSSD. I will, however, agree with you on pilot watches and G-Shocks.
There is a trend to wear over-sized, cheap fashion watches these days, particularly among the younger generations and for some brands (like TW) big is their thing. Generally, the rule of thumb is that the lugs shouldn't hang over either end of your wrist. Most importantly though, if you like the watch and it feels good, enjoy it and wear it proudly.
What is average?
Ok…. I admit I am not a watch expert but I have definitely seen 45 mm so much in the recent years. 42 mm feels small on my wrist now.
@alikazi: don't worry mate, I'm certainly no expert either. Just a bit of a hobby of mine. A lot of people start off with larger watches and then go smaller as they work out what really fits their wrist -usually determined by wrist circumference and shape of wrist. I have different watches for different purposes/dress style and there's no way a watch like this would fit under my sleeve cuff or suit.
I've got this one - same basic form & size but not a chronograph. I quite like to see the second hand ticking, especially when it's red as in my case.
Yeah it's big at 45mm, and my arm isn't that big, but i still like it, but then i look good no matter what i'm wearing, if anything at all…
I'm sure you look fabulous!
Battery operated?
Definitely at this price point.
