  • So what's good value to warrant posting this?

  • One person's trash is another person's treasure.

    • One mans pain is the next mans pleasure

  • If you take the going rate of points on here you're paying $493 for QC25's and $739 for 35's. Uhh no deal. Save your points for a trip.

    • So how did that calculation work out?

      • Buyers in the classified sections buy at 1c per point. So if you bought at that rate, that's what it would cost.

        • Well, you get a Myer gift card for $100 using 15000 points, so it should be close to $325 rather that $493, but still there is better value out there.

        • @some_one_some_where:

Gift cards are not a good comparison. They're the worst possible redemption value.

  • Just looked up the popular QC35 headphones, only available in twin pack for $970.91 if paying by cash (not by points). That works out to $485.45 each, really how's that a deal?

    • The discount only applies to the 'points' part of the transaction, you're doing it wrong.

  • Not really a deal, more like a sham.

  • Any bargains?

If you look at it this way… If you got 30,000pts from the Qantas Assure deal which cost most people <$40, there are plenty of things you can cash those points in for…

Well lets be fair, we're the same mob that up vote those blanket "20%" eBay deals like no tomorrow that have literally no value these days, lets go easy on OP… just because he isn't one of the regulars.

Thanks 😀 I was just trying to help the OzB community

Presumably, like so many of us, you won't make that mistake again….

If TA had post this deal instead then it would have got over 100+ votes for sure.

      • +1

Please check the revisions as the original deal post had no bargains listed. TA would never do that.
A mod has added more details.

Sometimes mods just delete deal posts that have non descriptive titles such as 'up to 50% off sale'

As stated in the deal posting guidelines, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items.

Well thanks to the OP from me anyway. Was after a pair of the BOSE Companion 2 computer speakers and picked them up using some spare FF points instead of forking out $150. I'm happy.

  • Just wondering, when I am booking a flight on qantas website, when and where do i put in voucher/coupon codes?
