How do these compare to decalgirl skins? Is the premium for Gelaskins worth it?
I have bought a few Gelaskins and they are great quality. not sure how they compare to decalskins though. I bought one for my laptop and then when I upgraded a year later, I was able to remove it from the old one and put it on the new laptop. still on there after 2 years now. Sticks really well, but if you want to remove them, leaves no residue and you can easily reapply elsewhere.
hope this helps.Did more research on this. Apparently quality is similar but the designs for Gelaskins are better. I'm quite attracted to the matte option for Decalgirl skins though.

Because 10% off is like $1.50 on a $15 skin… so it aint much of a discount, unless if I'm mistaken?

$13.50 isn't really a bargain considering u can get a plain 1 on ebay for like $4. If they were 2 for 15$ I'd consider buying some

Not really a bargain. like some one already said decalgirl is half the price and same quality. but if you want to design your own then i guess $15 isnt that bad.

Contacted Gelaskins and this is the list of events that followed:14th Sep- Was told to wait 1 more day before contacting them again.
15th Sep- Automated email response: "we are currently experiencing a higher than normal volume of emails"
16th Sep- Automated email response: "we are currently experiencing a higher than normal volume of emails"Up till today and still no response from Gelaskins.
(Boy, were they quick when it was pre-sales enquiries.)BTW I've had 5 parcels arrived during the month. All from either US or HK and all arrived. I've even been to the PO to ask several times but it wasn't left there either.
Quite disappointed as I was really looking forward to it.

I am annoyed at gelaskins for not replying to my inquiry from a couple of days ago. Also the whole fiasco of not sticking to the receipts sent for orders. If rogers stuffed up they should make them pay and not cancel orders. Time to take this to nandos and get them to sort it for us :P
I remember mine took around 6-7 weeks. I gave up after a month thinking they were lost and then one day they just arrived out of the blue. So yeah it was a REALLY long wait

Probably should have gone with UPS option but it was US$20 and I only wanted 1 Gelaskin.
At the time I was thinking, hardly worth the delivery cost to get it a week earlier.Damn. I wonder why it is so slow. BestSkinsEver just sends it via normal post in an envelope and that only takes 1 week to get to Australia.

I am sure when I was looking a while back they only had a $19.95 shipping option which I wasn't prepared to pay (might be wrong though) but I am more than happy to pay $5.95 and wait a couple of months seeing as I already have one for my ereader (brought here but very limited designs). 10% off if better than nothing.

The shipping takes forever. Any australian company sell these or similar?
There are locals stores which stock Gelaskins. I've seen them at JB Hi-Fi and at some Optus stores. The ACMI at Fed Square in Melbourne currently stock a Tim Burton gelaskin for iphone 3 and also MBP.
Prices vary (some places are OVERPRICED!) and choices are limited.
If you want to order, pool together with mates and do the buy 3 get 1 free offer. These things are built to last and mine is OK after 15 months of use! Amazing.
Custom orders from Gelaskins tend to be slower and if they use regular first-class mail, it sometimes takes up to a month or so to get here.
Looks like Gelaskins' little gimmick worked.
Free publicity and all it took was to 'accidentally' allow a loophole to be 'found'. Well played Gelaskins :)

Guess the best thing to do if that happens is to tell everyone here so that they can wait longer.Just received mine. Shipped 23rd August, delivered 27 September. I sent Gelaskins a message saying I've received them and not to send me more.
Anyone who did engage in this deal in the first place was engaging willingly in fraud. I am probably going to buy a skin or two just because of the way they handled the situation, absolutely fantastic marketing and customer focus.
