  • Anyone had these? Are they good?

    • Never tried them. Don't want to.

      beetroot chips:

      Ingredients:
Organic beetroot, organic sustainable palm olein oil, sea salt

      1) fried / toasted / highly processed foods are typically made from the lowest-quality produce for the lowest cost from the biggest manufacturers. I wouldn't trust anyone's organic labelling.
      2) palm oil: an oil some people have some concerns about. It must be cheap for them to use it here. Other oils to think about: Canola oil is genetically modified. So when you see "vegetable oil" listed on chip packets and they don't specify, expect GMOs like just like cottonseed, soy, etc. Anyway, the word "sustainable" is a psychological trick here, obviously. Embellishing the most craptacular oils
      3) sea salt is an nicer word for salt (ultra refined, white garbage devoid of all minerals)

These are overmarketed, overpriced garbage foods pretending to be great for you by virtue of their 'difference' to the rest on the market. Hope that helps.

      • Any chips you'd recommend Cheepwun?

        • Yes. Home-made. No barcode. No plastic packaging. Ideally, home-grown too.

        • @cheepwun: haha, fair enough, Do you happen to know a recipe that's solid? What type of oil, potato type etc. Cheers

  • I like the sweet potato ones? Pretty sure all chips are bad for you :P
