I was looking for a good point and shoot for our kids for some upcoming trips - the camera on their ZTE Telstra cheapies won't cut it. The W810 is around $130 at Digital Camera Warehouse - lesser lens and zoom. (Edited to add - so I bought it)

LOL! Vintage…
Kids these days….
Get off my lawn!
Kids camera? Wow, all right, I never thought of this being used for that. Honestly I wouldn't pay more than 50 for this thing, apart from the zoom, this things sensor is worst than a smartphones at similar price
I bought my daughter a cheap canon digital camera from ebay. She is 5 and loves taking photos of things. Nice to see things from her point of view.
with that camera, a blurry point of view at that age
Any recommendations for a cheap camera for similar purpose (better than phone pictures for forthcoming o/s trip)
I rather use my iPhone tbh
The Sony dscwx350 is the next level up, image quality jumps by a mile and kicks many phone cameras.
For kids I would recommend a 'tough' camera so when dropped or stepped on there are no tears. The tradeoff is higher price and lower zoom.
Just picked it up. The thing is really compact, fast to start, and with a couple of tweaks using "P", it works very nicely. The zoom is great, and the flash is much stronger than most smartphones.
Pretty good price for vintage 😄.
I paid aud40 for this during ds closedown
