I find regular business socks (Holeproof brand excluded) get holes in the toes or heel after a few months but these Darn Tough brand socks are wearing really well and include a 1 Year Guarantee.

I went in store to buy another 3-pack today and found the Size 6-10 (Ticket price $10) scanned at $7 and the Size 11-14 (Ticket price $12) also scanned at $7 ($2.33 per pair).

I cannot find the link to these Business socks on the BigW website (so linked to the other Darn Tough socks that do appear) however the link below shows the exact socks I mean (they were selling for $14 but out of stock):

These socks are thinner than "Work" or "Steel Cap Boot" socks - so are suitable for business or casual shoes but are thick enough for dress/casual leather boots etc.
I know some people prefer 100% cotton socks - these are not sorry.

  • I've recently bought a load of these. The price has been $7 for at least a month, even though the label says more. They're pretty good socks so I'm thinking of buying a few dozen pairs and chucking all my others. It'll make it easier to find a pair, as long as my son doesn't nick them!

Do not confuse these with Darn Tough.

The Vermont Darn Tough are about $30 a pair, and have a lifetime warranty.

  • They're comfy but don't last that long… Got a hole in very quick

    • Thanks for the feedback. What type (casual, business, boot, workboot etc) of shoes did you wear with them ?
Have you tried claiming under their 1 year warranty ?

      • Some business shoes and some steel cap use for site visits, ie. Not actual work.

Need to keep receipt, send back socks etc.. Not worth my time

I got two pairs, the second pair is still fine, so maybe i got a dodgy one

little disappointed no-one has linked to a needle and thread… grandma read this …. these fools buy socks…. ozbargainers…. really..?

  • I wear these darn tough work socks, bought from Woolies. Elastic gave way a bit before any holes worn through. They are just a bit thin for work boots everyday in winter, really good for summer. I like to wear some thicker socks for the odd winter night shifts. I wear them almost everyday of the week for a few years now.
