Is $149 good price for sony soundbar ? Is there anything better in the same price range, about $200 ?

for a basic soundbar, yes, great price. Friend has one, and it goes good in a smallish loungeroom. If you just want a little something to boost the tv, or bluetooth tunes to around the house (range is quite good and connection is solid), and at this price point it blows the no-name brands which go for about the same out of the water.
I'm a bit more of a quality nerd with my audio, so it wouldn't be for me. That said I don't think you'll find too much difference in anything that also includes a subwoofer around the $200 mark unless its end of line / also reduced. In short, this one isn't rubbish.
I'm also interested to know how is this Sony as compared to the Yamaha YAS106.
Have you considered a logitech z623 system? 200watts rms & THX certified. Just hook up to your TV via Aux port. Sound is great and they run for about $100 these days. However, not as neat as a sound bar presentation wise, granted.
