[Limited Stock] Da Vinci Plus 1.1 3D Printer $599 at Officeworks + $40 for Post or Free Click and Collect

80

Was looking for a 3d printer around $500 and I came across this. Its going for $800-$1000 at most places. Amazon reviews look bad, but most of the complains are about DOA. I bought one anyway. Can just return it to Officeworks if it sucks. YouTube doesn't really have a lot of videos on this yet. Nice wifi connectivity for wireless printing, 100micron resolution at slowest speed, touch screen, Prints PLA/ABS and also has a camera. Accepts any 1.75mm Filaments, not locked to Da vinci brand.

  • Unavailable online and pretty much out of stock in store.

It's an end of life printer… even their 2.0 model is marked as end of life.

      Why ??

  • Out of stock

  • Printer is EOL.
Showing not available online and my quick script to check other OW stores isn't showing a single one with stock.

Look elsewhere, don't feel too bad, these things definitely get what you pay for, for the most part.

  • Must be pricing error

    Mines coming up as 599

  • Looks like out of stock everywhere.

    • It still shows up as in stock for me. I am in Victoria. https://imgur.com/a/hobn3

If you actually click on the 'Check stock in other stores' button underneath the 'Click & Collect' area, you'll find that the green button is false and that the item is probably out of stock everywhere.

Edit: I've just checked South Yarra VIC 3141 OW and as I guessed, out of stock.

        • I was able to select click and collect from south yarra at the checkout. Its probably In stock in their warehouse and they will send it to the click and collect store you choose. or Could be some sort of error and there is no stock at all.

Pretty sure the Da Vinci series used a cartridge system for filament, however there were "hacks" available for refilling the cartridges and resetting the chip in them. Would have been great if this was the all in one version with the 3D scanner.

  • Thanks OP! Edit: (pickup available, Kew, VIC, 3101)

  • I'll stick with the the 200 dollar anet a8 that gear best has been flogging off for a while now…

Besides not being diy… And having a smaller print area… Why go somthing like this which is about 300 more?

    • Able to print ABS.

      • You didn't look at the specs of the a8 did you?

Prints abs as well as pla and other materials… Has a bigger print area…
And had a massive support community…
        Had many upgrades and improvements…

        • hmm you are right and its only $190, wtf. IS there a catch for being so cheap other than self assembly? May be I should return this one and get the A8..

        • @Ryxxi:

Self assembly is the catch…(and probably warrantee)

Can't comment on quality, but people are very happy with them, and there are printable moods that improve then further.

If you're a tinker the a8 would be the go… If you just want to download a model and print the one you have may be the go… But thats just a guess…

        • @wisc: PS 400 more expensive not 300 :o

        • +1

@wisc: I Think am going to keep it. Got it today and prints really well. Plug and play.

  • If anyone wants to reset their filament for this machine go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrMEf4_v_Rc. You just need a Arduino and 3 jumpoer cables. Worked for me. Filament went from 108m to 240m
