[HACK] 2 Months Free Netflix ($27.96AUD Credited to Your Account), Then an Extra 4 Months for $28AUD - Credit Card Required

3740

This deal is only open to Singapore residents as per their T's & C's, but I thought I'd try it anyway to see what happens. It worked perfectly for me, I applied the two months free Netflix to my Australian Netflix account without a problem (because of SGD>AUD exchange rate, you'll get approximately $27.96AUD credited to your Netflix account)

NOTE: You will require a valid credit card for this deal, and it WILL be billed after two months unless you cancel on their website prior to two months elapsing. They may do a $1 authorisation on your card to prove it's real. This amount gets refunded to your account within a few days by your bank.

Mod: The instructions to obtain the deal have been removed and the deal marked as expired due to a takedown request from LiveUp.

Merchant Take-Down Requests

To immediately cancel your subscription so you don't get billed after two months:

1. Top right of the Lazada.sg website, click your name, then click "Welcome to LiveUp"
2. Click the "Cancel Membership" button… then click "Yes, Cancel".

Or… wait two months, your credit card will be billed $28, then you'll get an extra four months Netflix.

Ah got it, cheers for that. It doesn't show on the mobile site. It has to be on the desktop view.

  • Just had an order 'refund' come through for my trial, so looks like they're starting to remove accounts. I wonder if they're able to revoke the Netflix credits? Hope not D:

@Savas: Still haven't been refunded these 'authorisation charges'.

@TheOneWhoKnocks: Oh wow! I got mine back a few days ago. From when i contacted them they assured me that i would get it back, then a follow up email said 5 - 15 days.

Might be worth contacting them, perhaps i only got mine refunded because i contact them? Idk, let us know how it goes. If they don't they should definitely be banned from OzBargain

          @dingdong3000: Same here.

@Savas: Took a while but the charges have finally cleared!

  • Anyone still brave enough to keep their membership to get the discounted 4 months after er the first 2 months? What happens if you already have credit in your Netflix account? Does it just add 4 months worth of credit or does it add an extra 4 months automatically?

    • My guess is they'll provide another link, and you apply it to your account the same way you did the free 2 months. I'm gonna keep two of my accounts/memberships active and see what happens.

    • I decided to keep my annual liveup.sg subscription for $28.80SGD which converts to $26 AUD. Today, I got an email from liveup.sg with a link to add 4 free months of NetFlix. I made sure I logged into my Netflix account first, then when I clicked on the link from the email, Netflix said it will be crediting $55.92 into the account I am currently logged in, so all in all a savings of $29.92 AUD. I gambled and won. If I had kept the other 2 accounts, I would of got $89.76 in savings. Oh well, I wonder if its possible to re-activate the subscription in my other accounts to get the 4 months free..

      • Can you please let us know if reactivating the account works? Thanks

        • How to reactivate?
I tried to reactivate to see if it worked on my other account which I cancelled, but it asked me to re-signup again on the trial. I tried 3 different credit cards and all returned with "Error Payment not completed." I have a feeling they tagged all the accounts that signed up during this period.

Mr thinks the protesters of this deal grassed you all up, typical hypocrites.

  • -1

    1) Does this deal still work? I registered and got an email saying "Your Registration was Successful" - but there was no Netflix code in the email? Does it come in a separate email later, or do you only get 1 email from them with this code?

    2) If you remove your card details from their account website, will they still be able to perform the reversal of the preauthorisation $1 charge?

    • -4

Can you not read the OP?

It doesn't work anymore, hence why marked as EXPIRED.

    • +6

unfortunately .. i think you've missed the boat
LiveUp must've disabled the netflix emails .. at least for a while .

  • Has anyone been able to reproduce this recently? I tried when this first came out with all my cards (multiple addresses) and none of them worked.

  • +4

just to let you all know the OP has provided many of us with 95 dollars of valid netflix credit and should be awarded ozbargainer of the month :-)

    • Only $72 for me … should have gone all in with it!

  • Anyone else tried recently?

    • Yep I did the same. Signed up with 4 accounts and had cancelled 3 but after the extra 4mths today I now have a further 9mths of credit to see me through. AU$26 for 11mths of Netflix ain't bad :)

  • To others that have paid the annual fee check your spam for liveup emails, not lazada, mine went to spam, 4 month netflix link in them.

  • +1

They gave me another 4 months of netflix for free.
