Recently I missed an Aldi deal on a 3D printer for $499. This one is similar but has a massive print area of 300x300x400mm. I have already purchased this for $600AUD but here is an email deal I just got emailed
Note to set voltage on unit to 240V before use.

It is a heated bed.
I might print one of these with my Aldi one and save $511…
yes, has a heated bed. There are a few mods suggested too - print a cable strain relief. Also insulation on the heated bed to help it warm up much quicker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TotokdSBaeUThe reviews are very good. Possibly better than the Aldi (Wanhao duplicator i3 Plus) due to the size it can print being substantially larger.
The Aldi does has a strong metal case and touch screen so its got benefits too but as many girls say, size matters lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77rGwN9PQ9IWhat are some things I can make with this printer?
Best if you have a tinkering/design mind rather than just printing out pre-designed stuff ie get your head into modelling/CAD, but still, check out Thingiverse for an idea of things you can print out pretty easily and/or design/model yourself.
Hi guys, I have never use 3d printer before but very keen to get on the boat and try it out. Can someone let me know what 3d file format this printer can accept? I used to do a lot of 3D CAD work using Catia in my younger years as a mechanical designer, but stopped for several years now. Does it accept all kinds of 3D file formats or we have to turn it into stp or igs format every time before printing? Thanks
You need to slice 3d models into .gcode format.
You need to export a mesh to .stl file format or import your 3d file into a program like mesh mixer to export to .stl. Also don't forget to make sure your object is manifold and there are no intersecting shells after this process. The stl is then sliced by your favourite slicer into gcode.
These are actually a few bucks cheaper through banggood.
Total price with cheapest shipping through GB is $388.28 USD
BG with free shipping and 20% off code: BGCR10 is $383.90 USDThese are also technically a pre-order through GB as they won't even pretend to ship them for another 2+ weeks.
So it's $5 odd cheaper and quicker delivery through BGhttps://www.banggood.com/DIY-Creality-CR-10-3D-Printer-30030…
I had a look through banggood but for me there was only one selection for shipping: expedited shipping at $196.57 :(
Unless I missed their sale, the price was not the same for me as it was more expensive even with the code BGCR10Same here, could not select free shipping, only expedited shipping available
Ah bugger, that wasn't there yesterday morning and I didnt check out at the time so now I'm stuck with it too. Looks like back to GB…
Got mine delivered today, quicker than expected! ZERO instructions on how to connect the 10+ plug wiring loom, nor the print head assembly, but I'm sure there's youtube videos.
Looks like it's back on sale:
US$369.99 (AUD$502.85)
Same coupon: 3DCR1Has anyone been offered a refund ?
"We are sorry to let you know that we cannot ship it at this time."
It
s a bit piss weak of an excuse when there
s 140 in stock now at a higher price.Yes, The same thing happened to me. I also pm the rep here and asked to look into it as their website still showing in stock and selling(not pre-order) and didn't get a response. Looks like we need to report this site to the MODs again as they have performed badly previously and have been banned. Looks like its time to ban them again. I just create a topic to suggesting to ban them again as they really have stuffed us around this time. Give your feedback at the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/313938 .
Do we order US or EU? :)
if power supply is different voltage (110 vs 220/240) then you'd want EU. but if it can accept 110-240v then doesnt matter, whichever you have an adaptor for :)
Did anybody receive this message from GearBest?
"Sorry to tell you that we couldn't ship your order out via AUEXPHQ by the limitation of the shipping company, but we can ship it out via Australia post Registered, the reference shipping time is 5-10 business days, you need to pay the extra shipping fee 45 USD.
However, please note that the item is currently on back order.
In this case we can offer you 2 options:
Option 1: Wait a little longer.
We expect the item will be back in stock in 3-5 business days if there is no delay. Once we ship it we will send you an email with the delivery information.

Please send us the link of the product you would like to choose instead.
Please let us know which option you decide."Hi guys I posted a deal for the CR-10 from banggood which is in stock and fast delivery. Hope the people who have been stuffed around can finally get one. Not as cheap but will get it quicker and no getting stuffed around.
Crazy price and print bed size.
I see no mention of a heated bed on the website.
Not sure where that tech is now but recall max size being ~20x20cm a few years back when I got mine.
Curious to hear how you go with it.
