I was UNABLE TO CONNECT

  • I thought anyone could connect to telstra air, you'd only get the free lesser version if it was a problem with the telstra plan?

    It does say "so long as you have an active recharge" so I guess if you #125# it, it should tell you when your recharge runs out. Though if you've never topped up you might not have anything active at the moment?

  • Yep I suspect having the SIM is not enough. You probably need to be on a prepaid plan.

  • Looks like you have to have an eligible service to be a member now. A recent update of the app now requires login to the account and verification using a Telstra mobile number.

    • It seems that you now need to have a service thats also been recharged. Its asking me to recharge.

      I had an active service but it ran out last week. Today it wont let me use Telstra Air and its saying something about needing to recharge.

      • I think they've simply decided to enforce membership. It's not just the app. I can't sign in with the web page, it says I don't have an active service. My previous service was a $30 starter kit I used last October.

        Ah well it was good while it lasted.

  • So seems like if someone is interested in using Telstra Air then the simplest and cheapest way of doing that is to recharge $30 on Long Life and gain access for 6 months to Telstra Air. Is that right ?

  • I cant connect to telsta air anymore since a month ago. used to be able to connect and login. Now doesnt even connect although the signal is strong. anyone have the same issue?

    • Do you have an active account with Telstra? What plan are you on and when was your last recharge ?

      • Yes i have. Btw the problem is i cannot connect at all to telstra wifi,
        before even inputting the username and password.
