I'd been considering buying the rear speaker kit for my Samsung Soundbar but was turned off by the $150+ price. I noticed the Good Guys had this same kit for $99 on their online store and ebay which looks like a good price. Store pickup is available but stock was limited when I looked around my area. I can't comment on the quality of the speakers but my Samsung Soundbar is very good so I have fairly high expectations.

Always wondered how these wireless speakers work? Do you still need to plug them into an AC outlet or do they have batteries? If they have batteries, how long before you need to charge them? Just chucking these questions out to the Ozbargain community.
Only the tall skinny receiver will require AC and the speakers then connect to it via fig8 cable to produce the sound.
I think the name is misleading. It's "wireless" in term of communicating signals from the A/V receiver.
However, this "wireless" speaker still need AC power. It's wireless in terms of it not needing to be wired to the main soundbar. The unit itself requires AC power, and the 2 speakers are wired to the main unit. (e.g. the only wireless part is that you don't need a lead from your TV to the rear speaker unit.
They are pretty good. Mine came with the soundbar in some Goodguys deal from here a while ago.
Hopefully there'll be a deal again for the soundbar soon, and then I will pick these up too. Didn't swoop quick enough last time. $160 turned to $250 in the blink of an eye and then it was not on.
Hi guys would this work with Samsung HW-H551 (which is fairly new model), this one is not on compatible soundbar list. can anyoneplease suggest if this devices will work my Samsung HW-H551. Thank you guys.
I would assume it would only work on the models listed as compatible. Perhaps you could contact Samsung Support and ask?
Would this work with a Sony soundbar system or just Samsung?
I believe if only works with Samsung models and only those listed as compatible.
That's a shame. Mine's panasonic.
You can buy it online and use the 5% eBay code for another 5 bucks off
