I'm not sure how that would even work? Is it a case of a booking.com knowing how much you paid the hotel and then Cashrewards reimburses you the 8%?
Yes, after you've stayed at the hotel the cashback is calculated by booking.com and will appear in your Cashrewards account.
Hotels.com is the way to go.
1- They will price match any another website with no hassle.(Must be same exact condition! Use hotel combined for the cheapest rate, book it with hotels.com and then ask for price match)
2- Cashrewards.
3- Hotels.com Rewards (Stay 10 nights and get the 11 free-DONT USE ANY HOTELS.COM COUPON).
4- Better customer service. (Booked smoking room and the hotel decided to go smoke free only two days before my arrival! Hotels.com were happy to refund me or book me another hotel in the same time. All done within 20min phone call)
Yes, I prefer Hotels.com too if I plan to stay at a property they list. Unfortunately in many destinations their selection is much smaller than booking.com, especially at the lower end of the price scale.
Also, it was pretty easy to get Genius member status at booking.com which gets a 10% discount at many properties.

I made a hotel booking through Cashrewards Booking.com at the regular 4% on May 13 and it hasn't tracked.
Never had any issues with Cashrewards until my last two transactions.
Has something changed because I certainly haven't changed anything on my devices or method which has been so successful for me in the past.

You should receive a tracking email within 7 days, if not sooner.
I booked a hotel a couple weeks ago with free cancellation. If I cancel now and book it again through cash rewards, will I be eligible for the 8% cashback?
