Just saw this bargain on r/masseffect. Google says 30 USD works out to be 40 AUD, I don't think it's been posted cheaper than this here, so I thought I'd share it with you.
It is difficult to follow up on a successful series, especially where the rumors have been around for a long time.
It looks to be a good / great game, most of the negativity was around the RPG, characters and facial animations being sub-par. The youtube clips were pretty hilarious. In terms of actual gameplay, there hasn't been much negative feedback.
Definitely had a great time in this game, I'd hate for the game to not get a lot of support to make a sequel because of some terrible problems with this game.
New patches have just about fixed everything up, so game is probably about ready for play if you've been on the fence!
They needed to get it out first quarter to make fiscal.
If they're given a pass, they're going to keep knowingly releasing games before they're ready.

Going to go against the pitchfork bandwagon here (although I completely understand) and say I really enjoyed the game .. I paid < $50 and played it pre Patch 1.05 where they have fixed a whole lot of stuff up.
I think @ $40 its worth it … I got a good solid 30 - 40 hours out of the main story with a few side quests.
Some pretty bad scripting and animations .. but thats all part of the fun
